Woohoo!! I think I've done it again! I wasn't sure if i'd make it this month. And last week I was ill, so tues (which was supposed to be a nsd) I ended up spending getting lots of medicenes and a thermometer and the like! However, was still ill bu thursday so didn't go to my dance class and therefore that became a replacement NSD. So as long today stays spend free (should be no reason why not) then I'll have done it!

Forgive me BigMummaF and fellow NSD'ers but I have sinned!! :( I have failed to meet my target! Ah well.

Given that I will need to get petrol tomorrow I will only have notched up 18 NSD's for November (despite having a week on hols). Not very good at all.....but some of it is due to being sensible. There's no point bringing forward a spend if tomorrow I will get it cheaper. So although it's highly irritating I didn't achieve my 20, in reality I don't feel the month was a failure.

It's been a really useful exercise and my overall spending did reduce as it made me think about what I was buying and when and what I really needed. The main benefit was on my Grocery budget as it made me plan my meals a bit better rather than just nipping to the supermarket to buy what I fancied for that night.

So I was going to be a bit more realistic for December (and I reackon December is always a higher spend month anyway due to xmas preparations) but as 'penance' I shall add a penalty day to my December target!! Bring it on! :rotfl:

Well done to everyone that took part and see you all next month!
You silly sausage! How can getting that much insight into your spending habits be a "failure" :doh:And in any case--I've said it before & I'll keep ON saying it--there are no fails on this challenge....I simply will not have it :D
It's a shame that so many peeps are poorly :o If the upshot is increasing your nsd total, then it's true about every cloud having a silver lining but I sincerely hope you're all fighting fit before too long. We shall need every smidge of self control for the hardest battle of the war, with what's happening at midnight _pale_ Advent-shmadment! Do your worst December cuz wee iz reddie!

Well, have had a day of planned spends...so, a total of 13 NSDs for November...one short of my target...but still pretty pleased with it. Just have to co-ordinate better with DH which days to buy things!! :D

Off to the December thread tomorrow...having a BIG Mr T delivery in the morning...worked out we only had one rather than two in November...perhaps that is where all the excess spending came from (well....some of it!!). My freezer is going to be pretty full after the delivery (getting lots of meat and booze!!)...so we will only get a dinky delivery Christmas week...I like this idea! (have one more delivery voucher - valid until 26/12/09, so will use it then). Need to get deisel soon (forgot my 5p off/litre voucher today...so the empty light came on going up-hill on the way home!), but holding out for Wed/Thursday...we'll see.

Sorted out our corner cupboards in the kitchen...soooooo much better...I spent part of yesterday pouring spices from open packets into jars and bottles, making a note of the BB dates on little labels I stuck to the lids...so organised! It will make stock-taking much easier in the future too!
    ;)

Off to see the end of University Challenge and give my brain a work-out :D

See you all on the December thread.....
