  • today is my 3rd NSD this month wahey! - spent loads yesterday though on groceries and a couple of pressies on the tesco 342 offer!!

chilling at home today so not spending a sausage!!
  • I've managed three NSDs now, and I was aiming for five, which I thought would be impossible but it just goes to show!

Before I joined on here, if I had no money to spend on random things of a day I'd think, woe is me I'm skint, but I've actually found NSDs very liberating - it's a great feeling to know you have cash but you just don't want to part with it today.

I think I might set myself more NSDs next time!

Well 8th of November and my 8th NSD! Being laid up certainly means you don't spend

Next time I will be leaving the house will be Wednesday (back to the doctors :o), but I think I need to do a couple of on-line orders so I can get Chrissy pressies sorted out!

    Hi.
Another NSD for me yesterday as I'm full of cold and couldn't be bothered to leave the house. Should be going to a pub quiz tonight but not feeling up to it so today should be a NSD aswell (although I am missing out on the chance of winning £100:rolleyes:). Hopefully be better for next weeks quiz!

Wow, managed 2 NSDs this weekend! :j

Had planned to go to a garden centre today and buy a bird table with anniversary money we got from my dad last month. We have decided that since we would almost certainly have spent more than that (!), we will wait for a couple of weeks and combine the trip with a birthday treat out for me! That way I could have more money available to spend, so will be happier spending my pennies!! I can also drop BIG hints to DH for my Christmas!

I have made my first batch of crab-apple jellies today, they look great! I did some plain, some with rosemary and some with chillies. Later this week I plan on making some with ginger...could well have to BUY (!!) some jars from Lakeland, 'cos I have run out of small ones. As I am giving most away as presents, it will still work out much cheaper than buying sweets/wine as presents...and much more personal. I suppose I could always ask for the jars back when they have finished with them!!
    :D

The crab-apples are from our tree in the garden, so they cost nothing, just the sugar, jars and flavourings to pay for (though chillies are HG). I will work out what it has cost to make per jar later.

Will have to do some shopping tomorrow, I need to eggs and F&V from the local green-grocer.

Off to update my signature now.

Hoping for NSD no 2 today... There is no reason to spend now... I have just had a massive bowl of pasta and a slice of HM sponge cake and am stuffed - so I'm not sure I CAN move lol!
