Remember Remember NSDs in November!

Morning! Will update The List in a mo, but just wanted to say that there is no cut-off to our start date here. We LIKE [STRIKE]fresh blood[/STRIKE]having newbies so any other lurkers out there--why not join us?
Your jam-making marathon sounds fullfilling Keiss & I'm sure the recipients will be thrilled. Judging by the various threads, it seems more of us are going down the home made route for gifts this year & I love it! I could never understand the mums at the school gates, who would reel off whole shopfuls of prezzies for Little Presh & take pride in spending hundreds of £££ on EACH child :eek: I'd much rather spend more on them one at a time to make their birthday special & it spreads the cost too

I'm afraid mine don't have an advent calendar of their own even now; the excitement of them running downstairs to see whose turn it was to open the window was so special when they were little. Of course they're all growed up but we still have the ceremonial parading of the Chocolate & Picture before they snaffle said treat, only they save it up to about once a fortnight now!

Hi all,

Saturday was a disaster for me - spent £38!:eek:

Sunday was a nsd, in fact I venture outside as it was soo brrr.

Today will be a nsd, as I've got my lunch and will be having a store cupboard tea.

Things were all going so well until today. Saturday was planned to be a shopping day to give me 4 or 5 NSDs this week - got my new car today and it took £73 of diesel so that's another NSD gone! Tomorrow isn't looking promising but I'm aiming for Wendesday, Thursday and Friday this week to be successful.
