AAArgh, had hoped that yesterday would be an NSD and so didn't go out to get a few bits and pieces. Then DH came home with fish from Mr T

To be fair they were on offer and I hadn't told him I was planning for an NSD, w
e must get better at co-ordinating our spending (and non-spending) days! He got the half-price salmon which the online delivery hadn't had earlier in the week, as well as some cod and smoked haddock which were also on offer (he thinks...can't find the receipt at the mo!). We now have enough fish for the rest of the year...fitting them into the freezer was fun though! So fish and HM chips tonight then :D

I have decided just because we are down to 3 eggs, doesn't mean I HAVE to buy more this weekend. We can do without bananas for a couple of days and there should be enough apples to keep DS2 going up to and including Monday. This means I can go to the local greengrocer on Monday and get fruit and eggs much cheaper than the supermarkets...there will no doubt be a few more things we will "need" by then too!

Right off to work on preparing lots of crab-apples...yes, still working on them!

    Have a great weekend everyone.

  • Not a NSD for me today; I finally had to do a grocery shop... boooooooo! Anyway, not too disappointed because I meal planned, stuck to my list, got a number of items on it at reduced prices, used vouchers, and avoided brands where possible.

I'm hoping for a few NSDs over the next week; I need to step up a gear...

Hope everyone is well and having a good weekend.

    Best wishes,

    Justicenpeace.

I haven't been online all week but I've managed 5 NSDs so far (sun, tues, weds, thurs and sat)! :D:D I can't believe I'm halfway to my target within the first week of the month! There were a couple of times I wanted to buy something (usually something I didn't need) but knowing I'd ruin a nsd stopped me.
  • Hi all!

Well, I'm up to 3 NSD's, 12 more to go.....;)

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend :D
