We both wear casual stuff for work, T shirts and jeans mostly, which are fine if hung up neatly to dry. I only ever iron smart things like clothes for a wedding, interview, work 'do' etc, and even then I try to buy non-iron fabrics where possible when I am chosing smart stuff. I can't remember the last thing I ironed...
    Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!
  • I iron pillowcases. Then once a fortnight I iron ohs shirts if he hasn't got fed up and done them himself.
I used to iron everything, but the kids clothes end up on the floor and I live in uniform (non iron) of joggers most of the time.
I will iron something for a night out though.

Ok, confession time....I have about 15/ 20 shirts per week to iron, not including my blouses so I have just started to send them out to a local service. £18 for 25 shirts is good value for me. Although I do feel guilty, or I did......I am getting over it.;)

I still do Tshirts, and bits though.

I iron almost everything apart from underwear and towels - this thread is such an eye opener....I can't believe how many of you get away without ironing!!

    Me neither.

I'm amazed the amount of people who think their jeans, T-shirts & other casual clothes don't need ironing, because I know mind do.

I try to iron the least amount possible. DH does some and I have the kids trained to do their own I do iron work clothes and school stuff but not towels bedding or undies it seems like a waste when no-one else sees them and My excuse I'm doing it for the environment:D

  • Nothing...at all!!
I use 2 in 1 washing stuff with a bit extra fabric softener, everything dries on an airer in the bathroom & i dont have any problems at all!! Im sure my mum would have something to say if my clothes looked really creased!
To be fair I dont wear shirts but if I did *possibly* I might iron cuffs & collers but for now I'll leave the iron in the box it came in when I moved in! :)
  • I admit to hating ironing, but when I have to my iron is ace, 'cause when I iron the front, the back is done too so halving the time :D

I don't iron bedding or undies though :o

Hardly anything these days. I only iron DH shirts for work & DD school shirts, plus a few odd bits that really need it. Usually max of twenty mins on a Sunday evening.
Used to do virtually everthing except towels & undies. However with the way my DH pulls his Tshirts out then changes mind & just stuffs them back in I decided I had better things to do. I now fold everything neatly once dry & put away.
As my DD is now 13 I think I am going to get her to do her own shirts to earn her extra pocket money!
  • The only things I don't iron is underwear, towels, tea towels and bedding.

Everything else I iron, I couldn't sent anyone out in unironed clothes, I think you can tell when someone isn't ironed and to me I prefer the smart crease free look:cool: (Wish I didn't though, would save me a whole lot of time)
