Yes, but of course you'd have to syn both the smoked mackerel (it's not free) & the horseradish.
I've done it with just the smoked mackerel and it's delish!0 -

hi all - working from home today as its snow city here. (2 out of 3 rugrats home because of school closures - the school thats open is of course the furthest away:rolleyes:)
About to take some time for lunch with the rugrats and Project Runway!:D
Today (because I had time!) I had dry fried bacon, egg and tomato for my breakfast:T:Tit was SO nice - and I have salmon, lemon and veg in the slow cooker for later. Wish I could do this every day (mind you would need to remortgage the house:rotfl:)
have a good afternoon allOnward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Gah! The one consultant I loved in my area (others think Margerie Doors and = complete demotivation from me) has quit - I was all geared up to go to class this morning if the snow let me.
Bummer- I really do need the kick in the bum of class to stay motivated. Off to look on SW website for any other classes in my area which I haven't tried. Considering going back to one i know is still on but I really didn't like that consultant's style.Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -

If you want to lose weight and keep it off, you need to live a life which incorporates all that you like to consume, but in 'limited' quantities.....ie, you have a little of everything but don't binge on anything.
If you start group now, you would still be able to have your social events, but would learn how to manage them without worrying too much about either staying the same or even gaining a little. This is how life works, the idea is that these occasions are just that, occasional, and can therefore, be managed.
If you don't start group till after your holiday in February, something else will come along shortly after that to take you off plan. Do you see what I mean? There's never going to be a perfect time if you let social events dictate your slimming campaign.
There has to be a commitment: this is it, I want to lose weight and be healthy and I am prepared to do what it takes for a lifetime of being slimmer and healthier. Without a commitment like this you'll be forever joining and rejoining because you've 'been on a diet' (which Slimming World isn't) and not learning how to eat healthily.
Having said all that, there are always times when we all know we're going to lose the plot for x number of days. This is fine as long as you limit yourself to those days and then get straight back on track, otherwise it's a slippery slope.
If (or when) you stay the same or gain weight, it's time to start writing everything down and double checking weights etc, not give up coming to group. We all have weeks like this, often for no reason that you can see, but if you know you're following the plan, then you know for sure the weight will come off.
Sorry for the lecture, but it really is a waste of your money to join if you're not really committed, so it's best to decide before you part with it
As for Original day breakfasts, you can't beat bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and some fried bread (all using Frylight of course) mmmmm:p
ETA: you make choices - only you choose what you eat, so if you want to do this you can - no willpower required
Thanks Consultant and no, I know you're not being harsh. Just very honest!!
It is probably what I needed to hear really. I have NEVER EVER had to watch what I'm eating or diet or anything. I'm very active and sporty, member of a couple of clubs and I go to the gym regularly so it's never been an issue but it's just crepped on this past 18months..
I see so many people who come on this thread who say "I did it lst year and lost 2 stone but I stopped and it's back" - if manage to get it off, no way do I want it back!! I sort of wanted to start at a time when I had a clear run at it so less chance of any set backs.
In my head, I suppose I've alwys sort of thought, I''m not overweight, how can a size 12 be overweight but when I'm not comfortable in my jeans, not happy going out and showing my arms, I think it's time to admit I DO need to loose some, even if it's just a ltitle compared to some.
Thanks for your advice and I will think on it. I may go down to the class and see how I feel once there really.
Will let you know the outcome!

I've just made two delicious soups.
They took no time at all to make and there's plenty for my lunch today and tomorrow, and I'm taking the remainder to group tonight for a taster (and to warm up those hardy souls who venture out).
Unfortunately, I've had a heavy cold coupled with a chest infection for the last week and a half and I've lost my sense of smell. It's dreadful, I love nice smells (scented and foody) and am getting no pleasure from my food at all. The only thing I can taste is the Lemsip Max hubby fetched me and it's foul :eek:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

New Moon out of the Twilight series. I started the first one, twilight on sunday afternoon and had finished monday night. Started New Moon yesterday, its a struggle to put it down. There meant for teenagers but i think they are really good! (not that i'm much older than a teenager at 21!)
I've just up used my syns (if not more) with a skinny hot chocolate at a cafe, it was good tho!!0 -

I know how you feel. I loved my first consultant, she was straight to the point and very funny. She would send out cards when you lose each 7lbs, after I got the first one I had tears in my eyes as I thought it was really thoughful. But that is 35 miles form here.
I didnt really like the way the first consultant did things when I moved here. She is very laid back and was more interested in talking about herself than others. Im off to try a new class tonight on a new night. Im looking forward to it, hope she is good. I like going to meet people and have a chat, but im also paying almost £5 for the pleasure, so I want to be motivated and find out things I didnt know, not to go and get weighed and listen to someone talk about themselves for best part of an hour.
Hope you find a good class.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0
