I'm struggling a bit with quick breakfasts that don't use any HE as I'm on extra easy and I often use my A and B for lunch or snacks. If I'm not using them I would usually have cereal, toast, Hi Fis or alpen lights.... I do sometimes have fruit and a yoghurt but can't think of anything else that doesn't invlove cooking (omlette, fried breakie etc) that wouldn't use them.
I'm having a chip butty for lunch with my HE brown bread and a tiny bit of ketchup... YUM!! Mince of some form for supper, can't decide on spaghetti and meatballs or the beef koftas in the new mag!!Joined Slimming World 19th May 2009

hi skint catt...
fitrst of all this post is to make you feel better so PLEASE dont take any of this the wrong way....
i got married last october. i wanted to be a size 12 for my wedding so the previous xmas i went on a diet and in the march, my first dress fitting, i was in a 14 dress and then for some unknown reason, my mind set relaxed and i put on about a stone or so, back to more or less what i was and was more of a 16, my dress was so tight, i couldnt really eat my of my dinner! doh! i think i stressed myself out so much with how i was going to look, i kinda ruined it and gave up.
someone at work at the time said to me "i dont know why your trying to slim down when your fiance obviously loves you the way you are" and i thoght yeah yeah yeah but looking back its true.
if everyone loves you for you and wouldnt want you any other way, then please dont be too gutted if you dont lose as much as you would like although i know youll lose alot more but dont be too hard on yourself. whether you lose half a stone, a stone or you get to your goal weight, you will look fantastic in your gorgeous dress, all your hair done etc... you will get nothing but compliments i promise.. i did even though before the wedding i was a little disapointed i didnt do what i wanted to do with my weight but then on the day, my weight was on the back of my mind... i had too much a good time!
ive since learned from my ups and downs (and the whole point of this post!) is alot of it is in the mind.. in younger years my mind was always saying "ITS GOT TO COME OFF AND ITS GOT TO COME OFF THIS WEEK OR IM GIVING UP, I HAVE TO LOSE 3 STONE AND I WANT RESULTS NOW OR THATS IT I WANT A CURRY!!!!" needless to say, ive gone up and down more times than i can count..
since being married and having my first son 4 months ago, im now in the mindset that i love myself and my body (how could i not, no matter how mean ive been to it, its given me a beautiful baby!) i DO have 4 stone to lose now and its seems slower than ever at a pound a week but meh, whatever! itll come off, im not putting a time limit on it as every time i do, i end up so stressed it all goes out the window anyway. so im going to let nature take its course, let it come off slowly (which is the best way) treat myself as i lose the weight to new clothes, books and stuff and not put my life on hold because of it.. it dont matter whether im my weight now or lighter, im still a beautiful person, we all are, and you must remember that.
i do see it come off quicker when i exercise so ill be concenrating on that once xmas is out the way, i get the SW magazines which i love reading when i need motivation
anyway im just going on and on now... just please dont be down, its coming off, youll be lighter for your wedding and i promise you once the dress is on with sexy undies underneath and you know deep down youve done all you could (the healthy sw way!) to be the weight you are, there will be nothing else you can do about it but relax and enjoy the day!! please dont do the cambridge diet, the weight will only go back on after you have stopped and its not healthy and costs a fortune!! save the money to spend on yourself!!!

Thanks hun, I really appreciate you replying
I know I'm pushing myself hard, but I do really want this and I don't think I'm being unreasonable just wanting a regular weekly1lb loss minimum. I know that I will be happy really even if I lose something, but it would be such a lovely present for my OH if I was closer to my target for our day (and might keep my mother off my back - haven't even been brave enough to ask her to come dress shopping yet as nothing positive comes out of her mouth). It all really complicated - I just feel I'm not doing the best I can at the moment.0 -
Ok so I know I'm gonna sound stupid but what is breakfast quiche? and breakfast rice??
Breakfast quiche is chopped cooked bacon, mushrooms & free/quorn sausage in a quiche dish covered with beaten eggs and cooked for about 30mins - sooo yummy!
Breakfast rice is cooked pudding rice mixed with yoghurt (and additional fruit if you want - matching the yogurt to the fruit is the way to go!)0 -
oooh they sound good. Might try the quiche, if I make it tonight then just have it cold or I can bring it to work and whack it in the mirco, great plan!! Thanks catt!!!Joined Slimming World 19th May 2009

Beans or poached egg on toast (the latter tends to explode so be careful!) also if you have a microwave.
Beans with the quiche would be extra nice0 -
I was always told I should have no more than 10 syns a day
,
maybe its because I am 5ft 1" .
Thanks for the rice info , think I will have that tomorrow.
Kindness costs nothing0 -
as far as I knew everyone can have 5-15 syns a day, I thought it was only different (the diet, no idea about syns) if pregnant or breastfeeding or under 16. Maybe they said an average of 10?? I love beans on toast but toast means using HE!! lol. Most days I do use my HEB for breakie but every now and then I want it with lunch or supper and I just end up not having breakie!! (like today!!) I will defo try the quiche tomorrow, don't like bacon or mushrooms but can think of plenty of other things to put in breakfast wise... oooh I'm getting hungry thinking about it, time for lunch!! lol!!!Joined Slimming World 19th May 2009
