    Thanks Setmefree2!!

Just a quick update, another book gone on Amazon and a further payment from them of £17 :) The plan is to put this to the treats fund and I've been rounding up any amounts paid in, so that's another £20 towards a holiday or other nice thing :)

Next task is to put in my expenses claim for work - not much but helpful anyway! The fuel light on my car has just gone on and i'm hoping that another £20 in it will keep me going to the end of the month. Normally I'm nearer £100 on fuel so this is great

Oh dear haven't posted for ages! We did the car boot sale on Sunday - we didn't make lots, maybe about £40 but it was all small stuff and really the aim was to clear some space. Anyway everything helps so we have about £120 in our treats fund and I'm really looking forward to using it up as this month has been a bit challenging :)

We're now thinking that we might release some money from OH's buy-to-let to allow us to take advantage of the quiet winter market to maybe get a better deal. Problem is our finances are a bit complicated with two buy to lets, two on consent to let and one normal mortgage. I've no idea what we will be able to borrow and the finanical adviser seems to be a bit blase about it. It's fristrating because depending on the answer everythign we have been looking at might be out of reach even though from an affordability point of view we would be well able to achieve it :( Just need to believe in the old saying "what's for you won't got by you!"

Woohoo, mortage adviser has just confirmed that we should be able to get a mortgage of what we need for the properties we are looking at so we can start to look properly :)

The consent to let came in for my flat too so I'm delighted :j
That gives me a clear incentive to save when I feel like a splurge

We now have a list of things to view so this week's task is to start making appointement for viewings! Very exciting :)
This month's finances have gone quite well given that I started in overdraft but there are a few presents I'd planned to buy that I haven't got yet so these costs have just been pushed to next month which might be a challenge. Next task for this week is to list out all known costs for the month - nights out, trips home etc. Needto do some shopping too the meal planning has been so successful that the cupboards are now quite bare - not sure if that's a good thing or not!
Had a lovely night out on Friday for a friend's retirement. Since meeting OH I drink much less than I used to ......... and now have no tolerance at all .......... which I promptly forgot and felt rubbish all day yesterday. I think I need a three drink rule, problem is I forget that after three!

Three viewing lined up already this week! Exciting but a little scary :)

Managed to get another couple of presents on the internet so I've just got one to go :j. I managed to find discount vouchers for each which is greta as both were more than I really meant to spend. Tisk tisk. I nearly threw out my nieces birhtday present a the weekend - it was in a bag with something else adn as its quite small I didn't see it and went to throw the bag out ......... realised just in time that it there was a small lump in the bag and pulled it back out the bin
    So much for being organised!
