Oh Lainey, your last, re:dear Blowers, is exactly what sets me here now :-). As you say, NOT a pleasure, but...
1. Have the great delight of last year's "An Evening with Blowers and Swanny" in memory box. That was a triumph of big day, big doings, arriving on time too. Happy mini-bat souvenirs, book, pics....my dear old thing. Such as Blowers are Life's little Saints.
2. ...and all the while listening to Jed Mercurio, of whom &'d never heard before DID snatches last Sun. Remember, TV works not chez &. Pleasingly articulate chap of many accomplishments apparently, besides which, he chooses Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game". & luuurrrves this.
3. Spits done. Back in &bed just before 2 bells. Modest banking will follow and more sorted out framing ready, says msg. Heavy thing sold to 'nother Spitser=pleasure. Good thing - a v.old, Fr., barber's neck bowl, sand-cast lead, with barbe-dressing bas-relief, name, c.1860.
4. Enzed friends have mowed in &'s absence:-). Thank you:-). As no depth of recent night is fully dark, & noted lower turf when walking in from Meriva this early a.m.
5. &'s French Spits trading neighbour tucked straight into her jar of confiture aux fraises and loves it. Always take a jar of latest whatever for her. Just realised that &benefits from spillover of her friends whose langue maternelle and custom often floats &'s way and is inclusive:-)

Need to library-obtain and deep-read current R4 Book of the Week 'The Secret Life of Colours', captivating and fascinating. It throws & into student note-taking mode.

Good evening from my city centre hotel suite! Very long and complicated back story that I shall not bore you with such is the drama of everyday life with my 17 year old ! Anyway, here for an overnight stay, she's away to her school formal, she will come back here with her friend and stay here and I will know exactly where she is / who she's with. DD1 at work at mo but will come here when she finishes and stay overnight and then work in morning.
We have to return a hire dress tomorrow but shall enjoy breakfast which as I've pre booked is cheaper and we've just been given a later check out which is very kind and very welcome. Looking forward to a swim in the morning.
Work was doable.
Lovely bright but blooming chilly trip in to city.
Have a good Friday0 -

5 Nows I knows, but if you read about the Japanese fisherman who was out in his boat catching fish and the clouds turn and the tsunami came towards him. He had nowhere to run except point his boat at the wall of water crashing around and hope that the wave would lift him from danger. Just like that, BoP in his beach ready look for the season, heads for the foam at the waters edge and plonks his board Old Spice style and crashes forth on the wave. The Japanese fisherman’s boat is lifted and rests now on the crest of the wave and the yellow thing shines brightly! Just like the mill, BoP is on the wave, knowing which knight in the chess game is going to gran the pawn and place the King in checkmate! Well, after the bails of cotton are now cloth, and we are on a plateaux! Kerching!
4 Enuff of that and yesterdays dog roll was so nice, but these things should be taken in modest amounts, and I does not want to damage my beach ready looks. So I have not even bothered to even think about the wagon of chuck this morning but again, BoPsie seems fit that two cakes of Jaffa are enuff! They are not and I will not take it laying down either! The wobbleade emporium ths evening beckons and a decent gorilla would not go amiss, nor will the big train to Warster! More later on.
3 If all goes well and BoP is properly fed this evening, then tomorrow the downstairs crapper will be painted! If it goes wrong, the fan will be hit!
2 Last night watched the soccer as Engerland managed to get to another U21 semi final, for the thirst time since 2009!
In the utopian ideal, forget we live in a !!!!!!!ised world!0 -
Sometimes, I think "Am I drunk, or did I just understand a BoP post?"0

Ampersand - I'd never heard of Jed Mercurio either but he also chose Frith favourites- Sisters of Mercy!0

5) Egg mayo sandwiches for lunch.
6) Went out for turtle food and to drop a letter at the building society.
7) House quite tidy again after taking the plaster off the wall yesterday.
8) Football practice for smaller son.
9) Bigger son is at work (he's been given a 2nd shift each week) so I have to pick him up at 11.

Wondering...what is a Knickerbocker Glory, was the fan hit, what are &'S spits?
Loving....stupid ICT cover updates, all this jam making, back porch PJ sitting.
* Three doctors in two cities in two days (not the pleasure) with a first viewing of DD2's first bought home (def the pleasure!) along the route.
* Wonderful visit with exMIL and ExSIL in one of the cities. They love my husband which makes it comfortable. He adores my MIL and always takes them out to eat somewhere. She will be 90yrs old this fall and the family is having a big weekend celebration during the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. Of course we are invited!
* Quoye telling us excitedly that she got a penny off the swimming pool floor....maybe 4ft deep. Not bad for three.
* Green chile cheeseburger soup. Homemade and so good. Tortillas warmed with REAL butter (did you read that BOP!) rounded it out.
* All the new posters telling us their pleasures...such a wonderful thing to have each of you join in!
On a sad note, two hikers (father and son) died in the desert here over the weekend. This happens almost every year. People come in from other parts of the country to see Carlsbad Caverns and hike the trails but don't understand how to survive in extreme heat. They don't check in with the rangers who would provide excellent advice. People read about the desert and then don't do what they learn. It's a beautifully deceptive place. Just so sad and heartbreaking when this happens time and again.Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Good Morning,
Pleasures for Friday.....
1. No stupid ICT cover on Fridays, so managed to get my own work done!
2. Thought of an idea to make stupid ICT cover more bearable. I have a plan. :j
3. SW fake KFC for tea. Everyone ate it.:)
4. Lots of reduced stuff in Asda on the way home. Fridge is full.
5. Last episode of Jamestown was v good. Will miss it on Friday nights.
Couple for this morning......
1. It's the weekend.
2. Reading back. I have forgotten how cheery it is hearing about everyone's days.
3. Looks like a good drying day. The washing machine beckons!
See you later!0
