  • That’s gots yous going!

5 About time as well, watched the willow smack leather all over the place last night and thirst ball. Get inn! Good to see the bits of willow ripped from the ground. Game on! And the lasses are at it from Saturday as well!

4 All ends up, if you blinked with the thing of yellow the other day, you’ve missed it and we can certainly blame VJ, as she is not here but in the dairy farmer’s field Somerset way, that it is the weekend of wellies and mud. As I recall I dids warn her yesterday as well! Stormy days ahead!

2 Day at the mill, I relieved BoPsie of a Bank of Engerlad polymer note and transformed it into a bacon and mushroom roll. Tasty and I don’t have too many of them. Washed down with tea, brewed on the stove next to the boilers. It’s a sweat shop here earlier this week, but now as it nears the mud festival, a lot cooler! As for the cooler, one of the Jenny’s has been left unattended to as the slave has walked off the shop floor! To think we have sour grapes, and they are the pips, on the shop floor today!

3 With the summer all over and the nights drawing in, Raffles is back to his normal self and last night proved his prowess again. We do feed him and pay his vets bill! He owns BoP, we don’t own him! Talking of feeding, and it was a good job BoP managed to wolf down the dog roll this very morning, just went and checked my elevenses biscuits to find I have been shorted! Two, and it seems we are running dangerously low on cakes of Jaffa, bought when cheap at emporium w8rs! BoPsie, who sends BoP off everyday with delicious home thoughts and a packup, only put two biscuits in the box! I ask you, how am I going to survive on that! PM me wobbleade chits as well! Good job that when I relieved BoPsie of my hard earned cash, and purchased from wagon of chuck some chocolate as well. The four fingered biscuit! Sometimes they are good for you.

Alas, then teenage prot!g! who wowed too much from the cupboard should had learned from BoP about deep pockets and kept his rocket there as well.

    1) conference going well. bit hot yesterday but much more comfortable temperature today
    2) after unbearably hot and noisy drinks reception (where they ran out of white wine) 3 of us slipped off to a very nice little restaurant
    3) absolutely scrummy risotto - must be more adventurous with my risotto cooking when i get home. This one was sundried tomato and red pepper - i reckon this is pretty close http://www.vegetarianexpress.co.uk/recipes/our-recipes/sundried-tomato-and-pepper-risotto/
    4) workshop today went very well. the 2 hours flew by
    5) and now we're resting in the flat before the conference dinner. Another cup of tea? don't mind if i do :P

  • Oh lord. DD. They ran out of wine. Back inn the days working for R. A. Force and co ltd, if said parade reception had done similar, the local dignitary would have been out inn their place, and certainly ignored come the eleven o'clock parade!

    1. Had a lovely swim on Wednesday morning before school. It should have set me up for the day, and would have but for a heat-related migraine that came along :(

    2. My lovely class, who were able to bear with me and one brought me a wet paper towel, the cure-all in primary school!! :)

    3. YS bargains in Mr M's on my way to Chap's - 11p for 500g of carrots and broccoli, 10p for lots of sliced peppers, 75p for yummy thai green curry paste, nomnom.

    4. Have booked a hotel in that London for when DD and I go to see Les Mis at the end of August. Don't fancy schlepping across London and back to the Shires at 11pm! Annoyingly, had problems booking the hotel on Tuesday, so tried today, and it's gone up £2! (V. cheap hotel, so £2 is a lot...). Anyway, it's booked and I feel relieved that with an ooober, we will get there safely and soundly.

    5. Having fun with school show rehearsals, the script is very funny, even though most of the jokes are going over the children's heads.....

    6. Lovely evening with Chap on Tuesday, although we were so hot, we had to sit on different sofas!

    7. Holby....

    8. One of my class telling me lots of groan-worthy jokes on our walk today. He was hilarious, as was his mate who was attempting to make up dinosaur jokes...

    9. I've finally finished inputting my data and v. nearly finished my reports. That's tonight's task....yawn!

    10. DD and I have been for a lovely swim this evening. I picked her up from school and we went straight there. A lovely way to end the day :)

    1. It's cooler today, so I scrubbed my grubby kitchen, and left all surfaces devoid of personality and grime.
    2. It's cooler today, so I was a little less snappy towards DD
    3. It's cooler today, so I'm about to go to bed with a book and actually be able to snuggle close to DH.
    4. It's cooler today, so I wasn't tempted to use the air con in the car.
    5. It's cooler today, so we will be able to sleep without the help of electric fans.

Some pleasures for last few days,

Not hot yoga but steam pilates, phew,

Evening meal out at new to us pub, smashing food and sat in beer garden.

Cooler weather, human and canines are much more comfortable.

Sunflowers in my Grandma's Indian Tree jug, cheery and bright.

Not really a pleasure but dear Blowers hanging up his microphone, TMS will never be the same and how will we know what the pigeons are up, oh my dear old thing
  • 1) Cooler yesterday, even cooler today...Mmmmmmm!

    2) Lovely evening walk with Maisie and her mum along the coastal path by the river last evening, blissful if a little muddy due to an excess of affection from a passing very friendly spaniel...if you don't have doggy footprints on you then you're not fully dressed!

    3) Have today found the plain white duvet covers I've been searching for for months because I remembered Argos...senior brain mush until now.

    4) Up at silly o' clock so I put it to good use and made Orleys baby food purees to freeze early today, just waiting for the first batch Sweet Potato, Parsnip and Carrot and also Strawberry, blackberry and plum to freeze in the silicone cube tray then the last Raspberry, blueberry and apple can go in. Should be enough to see him through the week with Greek yoghurt and mashed banana added in.

    5) House now dusted, tidied and vacuumed, Zebras bed made up, Orleys cot made up, DD2s bed made up and I can think about what to cook tomorrow.
