* DD3's first date with very handsome (or so I was told) ex special forces guy who has never been married went very well. Then at the end he told her he had three children. Hmm. Interesting. Never married but three girls all by the same woman, whom he lived with when not on combat operations...for 10 yrs. (sounds like a wife to me)
* Date breakfast with my darling DH. He was ravenous and didn't talk. Not very romantic I must say. But we had our usual smiling waitress and good food. He can be romantic some other time.
* He's sitting in the recliner softly snoring. I love his sounds.
* My friend had her baby on my darling DD1's B-day today. She's a keeper! Such a great experience for my dear friend. The last time she had a baby, she was 15 and the baby was two months early. Both of her parents were in prison for dealing drugs and she had been couch surfing at friends and relatives for several years. She spent months in Albuquerque at the NIC-U by herself. She would walk 30 min to a cheap decrepit scary motel to sleep. She was not able to keep that baby.
Now she has a wonderful supportive husband who is stable and adores her. She has been able to buy things for the baby and it has been a blissfully normal experience. She is 37 and thrilled. I'm so very happy for them! Karlea Mae has brought some emotional healing with her birth.
* Dark chocolate with a touch of sea salt. Happy Mila!!Overprepare, then go with the flow.

1. Coffee in the garden again with the chickens.
2. Had a chat with my neighbours. Found out why they may be moving. They need to sell quickly to get a new build which is less work.
3. DH bought me flowers- tulips and hyacinths.
4. Had dinner at a golf club close to MIL. It's relatively cheap, good service and the food is good. It was good spending some time with him without having to do anything and to relax.
5. MIL gave me a cheque for money she owed me. It was nearly £150.
Pleased to have it. It can go towards my retirement fund.
Also minimised her kitchen cupboards some stuff straight into the bin as out of date and some came home. Her carers cook for her. Put microwave meal in to heat up and so flour, spices, chickpeas etc came home.
6. DS1 girlfriend is now due to have surgery as a day case next week. She is home and feeling bit better.
No more problems with catapults.
Visited MIL (Couldn't get out of it) did watch the rugby at her house. She is very confused but not sure how much is after dialysis. She still tries to be tearful and then stops if not getting sympathy. She has stopped even trying to walk and ambulance crew often leave her in a wheelchair as she doesn't want to be moved. She then asked me to help her into her chair. I have to say no ad 2 people with experience have problems moving her.
Sorry about the moan.0 -
