    1. Listening to the sound of the rain.
    2. Laughing with friends
    3. Sitting in front of the fire reading a book.
    4. HM spaghetti Bolognese for dinner.

1 My seed trays on the windowsill are sprouting which is always a nice feeling. Also, our weeping cherry blossom tree, it’s wonderful and has just bloomed with bright cherry blossom. The geraniums are giving more and more vivid pink colour and my animal proof pots that contain “autumn” lidl bulbs are sprouting!!!:rotfl:

2 We didn’t want to go out but also didn’t have a choice, as I need to look after df. So, we went to a nearby town, got him some cash, and some various bits and bobs. I was shocked to see the pound shop has truly gone now. The fruit and veg stall was very forthcoming for our diet. Picked up a couple of packs of bulbs begonias and something that looks colourful.:D

3 Stopped off and had some teas, also had some grilled chicken and salad, it was nice not to have to make it.:p

4 Stopped in at Lidl on the way home seeded rolls for us and various offers for DF and our animals.

5 So nice to be home with a cuppa and animals.

6 Chinese leftover will be a bit later.

Hello please excuse the ignorant question but what is 'OS' in the title of this thread? I tried to search on the older thread but I couldn't see, I know I am late to the party but I use os for some different acronyms which are clearly not relevant so I was curious! :o

    What is an os pleasure...?

    Old Style.

An old style pleasure can be many things, for me it's the simple pleasures in life that put a smile on my face and make me grateful for everything I have and being alive.

It's Sunday afternoon, it's far too hot (35o) but I'm hopeful that this coming week will be a bit cooler.

Trains are not running this weekend for line maintenance so it's replacement buses. Sigh...much picking up and dropping off DD2 at work. I know my husband would have been much nicer about it than I!

Today I've sorted out my flowers, trimmed, fresh water. Will be glad when the blooming lilies are done!

When I dropped DD2 off at work I went into my old work ...it would be childish to say I was pleased that old boss was having issues with my nemesis and her not so clean kitchen and her less than friendly approach to customers! Ha! He did ask me if I wanted to come in and sort the pair who are working , out...not sure if he meant it but I said I couldn't work with her as she was skanky and unfriendly to which he agreed! Then had a moan!

Steak (RTC) in slow cooker and about to be turned into a steak pie with roast potatoes and parsnips for tea...ideal when it's 35o but at least it's a proper meal !

My mahoosive lasagne was cut into 18 portions. Had some last night , as son said 'it's okay!' I make a good lasagne so the bar is set very high! Anyway, it was very kind and will do a few evening meals ahead.

Also going to make sausage rolls for lunches whilst ovens on.

Spoke to OHs best friend from home this morning. He did a eulogy at Thursday's service. Good to talk to him.

Getting free legal advise from OHs other good friend back home who is a lawyer. Will be putting my house up for sale. Tenants have been given notice to quit. Friends have offered their help with tidying / cleaning/ paining etc if necessary .

Nice early morning walks with Mr Dog, when it's a bit cooler. He found a new tennis ball in the grass today so his old one was discarded in favour of a new one which he carried home in his mouth....DD2 put the other soggy one in her pocket.

Have started bullet journalling again past few days. Concentrating on good things ...a bit like here but with stickers :)

Right off to make sausage rolls and get diinner started. Have a lovely Sunday .

I called in but they said they'd sold it to pay your hotel bill :rotfl:

    1. mooched around in my pj's for most of the morning
    2. had a walk - it was warm but very windy
    3. cut the grass - first time this year. Mainly weeds / clover :o but looks better now its cut
    4. found a little frog in the green waste bin. Collection is once a fortnight and I share the bin/cost with my neighbour. He put some of his pond waste in the bin last week and the frog must have been in it. Glad I noticed before I put more on top of poor little thing. Laid the bin on its side and it hopped out !
    5. bird on the grass after cutting looking for worms - it had a light coloured breast and a white stripe above its eye - according to RSPB website may have been a corn bunting
