1) half price pack of calves liver at the butcher and a whopping gammon knuckle for £2.99 amazing!
2) Meeting Mrs Stag Beetle ambling across one of the lanes towards the oak trees as Cookie and I walked along it this afternoon.
3) Used up some courgettes for supper, love courgettes but they're producing many and I have to be inventive!
4) It didn't rain on me!
5) Finding that dd1 hasn't got a stress fracture in her left foot but does have tendonitis. Finding that she can still go on the World Challenge trip that she's running to Borneo for 3 and a half weeks departing at the end of next week I was concerned they might say she couldn't go which would have been hard for some of the children going if they had to put another adult leader in her place, relief felt that she CAN still go!0 -
1. Various meetings that all went well for once. Hurrah.
2. DH has doctors apt tomorrow, not so sure this is a pleasure but it’s progress and faster than 2 weeks which just worries me even more. we are worried over here and we’ve talked through a few options, it’s just the unknown at the moment.:(
3. Ate healthy during the day special k and a homemade prawn salad as tonight we will be using up vouchers that expire today for a free pizza.:D
4. Over to dads with a lot of shopping, did all of his gardening, front garden hedges, weed killer down, front and back, topped up the pond and washed his floors. Phew.

welcome back & what is the horrid rob up to now
1) spent day 'working at home' in edinburgh as had skype with student at 2 and catching 4:11 train from edinburgh to york. joined edinburgh uni library via sconul, and very much enjoyed their silent zone
2) after joining you have to wait 24 hours for computer account to be activated, eduzone wouldn't work on my mac nooooo and public library wifi down so ended up having late lunch at edinburgh festival hall which has free wifi and is fairly quiet
3) after all that student wasn't able to skype, but had nice chat with cosupervisor (and the haloumi sandwich was lish)
4) nice b&b in york, compete with complimentary sherry 'for pre-dinner drink'. i forgot, so might have a snifter before retiring
5) breakfast sitting is 8 or 9. have student phoning at 9 so have booked 9 and emailed student to say can we make meeting 8:30 as something has come up. is that bad? (no cos i am on annual leave tomorrow!) if she can't my fried egg may be a little congealed!MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Hugs from my corner of the world for you Mhags, OH and family. What have they said about available treatment and will it be in the same place your family lives?
Haggis is a scamp!
* hair washed (it may be a small pleasure but it's a good one)
* concrete poured in kitchen plumbing hole's maze.
* OH dealt with workmen today. They had been his students in school years ago so many stories and general male BS goings on.
* paycheck safely in bank and my checking account is out of ICU.
* I'm not going to mention the new leak  in the drain we saw in the bedroom hole after I washed clothes. Nope, not gonna tell you about it. I'm not thinking about it until after my company for the 4th of July weekend has left on Tuesday. I'm also not washing clothes until it's fixed.Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Best thing that happened yesterday was my youngest grandson Mikey (12) coming home from school tired and a bit grumpy after a busy day and saying 'Oh I'm so glad your here Granny, I need a cuddle to make me feel better' I have been looking after him for the past 9 years and his brothers as well while his Mum and Dad work.Even though he is now taller than me (not hard as I am not very tall) he is still not too old to have a hug
:):).
My time costs nothing, but is invaluable to a little boy0 -

At the beginning, nothing. In the end, a way. It ended?

Good evening , We've had another lovely day . Trying to concentrate on the here and now.
Up early, I was awake before the kookaburras this morning, emailed my sister.
Made pancakes, Apple and cinnamon muffins and an apple crumble for tonight's tea
Lovely morning walk along the beach with my best boy. He looooves the beach .
Piled in car and headed to Glenorchy to drop of son who was going mountain biking then along to Hobart, had a lemonade scone at the top of Mount Nelson, the views were stunning, looking down over Hobart and Tasman peninsula. Lovely blue sky and blue sea. just amazing.
Then went up to top of Mount Wellington, which is Tasmanias highest mountain. It was a very cold 3o and the strongest winds I've been out in for a long time. Wild!
Then back to pick up boyo, who was filthy but happy. Stopped at supermarket on way home for bread, milk and eggs . Filled up on petrol.
Home and quick in and out to grab dog for an almost dark walk along the beach.
Baked potatoes for tea , to be accompanied by a selection of left overs from last 3 nights! There's a portion of everything we've had.
Ampersand glad you're home safely but that's awful about your water damage.
Mila we will know more next week but not overly hopeful as of where it is, this is third time round so options aren't great. We are realistic.
We have tough times ahead.
Right better go and get dinner sorted out...another busy day ahead tomorrow0 -
1) I have orthoptic gel insoles for my shoes, plantar fasciitis is pretty uncomfortable but walking Cookie was much more comfortable today because I wore these.
2) Beautiful scent of roses on a warm breeze while we walked, and some sunshine!
3) Just been up to the poly tunnel and picked a good pound of green beans and about the same of loganberries from the garden too.
4) DD1 with the tendonitis was exempted from having to supervise at sports day today and told to GO HOME WOMAN, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE! by the good old head!
5) Found a nice big terracotta pot in the garden to repot my little lemon tree that we've grown from a pip that had produced a tiny root. Over a foot high now and is putting out lots of side branches and needs a bigger home so I've emptied out some bulbs which I'll replant in the border.0 -
Pleasures for the last couple of days,
The subtle scent of our privet hedge in flower, not as strong as the honeysuckle but still beautiful, love my garden.
Billy calling to me across the yard, had stopped to chat to a fellow owner but he demanded my attention, love my horse.
Keeping my calm as was seriously let down by major retailer regarding an appliance being deliveredWhilst trying to explain to complete numpty on the phone that it simply wasn't good enough to not know what was happening, darling Captain S just handed me a cup of tea, love my man.
Making the most of our European connections, for supper tonight have had cheese from Italy, olives from Greece, wine from France and bread....well from Sainsbobs... :rotfl: love my food.
And now another Roses cricket match and the football, love my sport.0
