Just in from Families at 5. Very peculiar weather day, on/off rainy bits regardless of sky colour, currently blue avec soleil, but big drops coming down.

    1. & will here admit to following a round ball game yesterday, but don't say it out loud. Ladies Albion vanquished the other sort. Seemed only fair. Interest sufficiently engaged, in between power cuts, to make & lower her book from time to time.

    2. Lots of pods and cores and peels for compost corner - always feels good. Many lovely veg. mix portions prepped during wimbo yesterday - broad beans, haricots, tiny new red taties and Jersey Royals, carrots, mangetout, baby beets, all from K's allotment. I'll have some shortly...

3....with emporium rtc crusted lamb loin, yummy roast for several meals - [STRIKE]£10.10p[/STRIKE] became 55p.

    4. Choc beetroot fudgecake made for Families at 5 - all gone.

    5. Someone has updated with wonderful news.

    1. Dr C. has signed for his new rented house. :D Some 10-15 minutes walk from his workplace, fridge /freezer, cooker, carpets, blinds and curtains.

    2. Friend over for lunch, lovely to see him and to chat, and also a chance to pass on some of the freebies sellers send me for reviews on Amazon to a new good home.

    3. My pal went home with cat goodies for his 3 cats, a lovely canvas rucksack to use for work, an umbrella with a carrying strap to keep him dry en route to and from work, a battery charger, a spare charging cable for his phone, a pewter-bronze magnetic bracelet and a copper bracelet for his arthritis plus a walking pole that I used in my early days of my arthritis, that is now redundant.

    4. Fatty the racehorse is 3 today, lovely pics on FB. His Uncle Rummy went to a big show dahn Sarf and got 3rd and 7th in his classes.

    5. Your pleasures, thank you.

hooray for dr c's new res. dd1 moves into her new flat wednesday which means jingle cat leaves then too
    1) church, though a little strange with the choir off on holibags. we had a double baptism and, choir being absent, talked to those i wouldn't normally chat to
    2) on walk home met fellow ceilidh band member, then met dd2 on her way to work
    3) walked back to town with dd2 (dd2 is very good for my sanity) then home again
    4) xoh's bf in garage which kinda put a damper on the afternoon, but then decided to take dogs for a walk to magdalen green. sat and read my book, and chatted to a couple of other dog walkers. very pleasant
    5) since dd1 moving out got chinese takeaway. bought xoh's bf something but this seems to have caused a huge row which in turn has upset dd1. dd2 sez i should ignore it all. so am listening to diamond dogs instead :D

I placed my first Approved Foods order this evening, tried not to get carried away. Vermicelli for 25p a pack though, what a nice change from 25p Aldi spaghetti (which is excellent).
Some of it is to give Dr C. some ideas for his storecupboard. I did it via a link on MemoryGirl's blog, so hopefully that will pay off for her in some measure.

Vicky - a couple of years ago I went to a legends rugby match at the Stoop and Will Greenwood was meant to be commentating but ended up playing for some of the match!

Went to Hampton Court flower show yesterday. Tickets were brought months ago on the early bird offer. It was enjoyable but I think it's been better in the past. Good news was we remained dry all day and it wasn't too hot. Came away with some ideas for the garden and some seeds but I was restrained in the amount I did buy.
We had taken a picnicking did treat ourselves to a meal on the way home and managed to get the Sunday lunch offer at 6.15.

Hello from the land of chilly!

Work! Got the train which was free as on and off before 7am .
Quite a pleasant morning and then BAM! lunch was hectic.
OH and Haggis came to pick me up.
Went to a nice cafe and had to sit outside in the blooming cold as we had dog.....brr. Went for a wee walk.
Had a bath and then jammies on...I'm not going anywhere tonight!
I may or may not have had Mars bar cake.....I may or may not resemble Mars bar cake!
Lovely chat with my niece and the briefest of chats with my great niece who absolutely desperate to speak to auntie just said hello and then bye.
What fabulous technology we have now, whilst talking on the house phone, we were sending each other photos of things we were talking about and wanted to show each other, on iPads.

Just a half shift to work tomorrow , which I'm doing as a favour ....extra cash for me!

Have a lovely day, hope the sun ( what is this thing?) is still shining! :)
  • 1) Just picked the first ripe tomatoes from the greenhouse, sungold (the yellow ones) which are so sweet of taste, delicious.

    2) He Who Knows is minus his sorely tooth, lovely dentist had a cancellation and offered it to him this afternoon, great stuff!

    3) Just watered the veg plots and fruit bushes, and noticed that the thornless blackberries on the back fence are beginning to go red and starting to ripen.

    4) Found a new author at the library and have just realised that the books are available on kindle so will treat myself to the set to read on holiday when we go to Barcelona.

    5) Salmon for supper this evening, a real treat.

Horses birthday. Surely like cats, they all grow a year on New Year's Day. :heartpuls to all in the ward.

5 Still down south in hibernation. Digs this week. TV carp. Radio. There is more than the Bolshevik Broadcasting Commisariat. De tuned. Off. Doubt it will be turned on again. IPad and Sky Sports. Cricket ready.

4 Over the weekend uploaded pennies to bookie. Cleaned him out, cashed back and 1/6 way to premium bond again. Cost zilch. Please be aware that BoP does not condone wasting your money on gambling. That includes endowments as well!

3 BoPsie was upset with the pity girl on Friday. Left bag for local wife of the late Mr Cheshire. Some wheelchair bound tea leaf stole it, she had no intention to pay. And she has the audacity to breathe the same air. BoPsie told her so. Oh I forgot to say. Pity girl was ram raiding in a electric bath chair.

2 Nite BoP is testing the local waters in hope of finding treasure.

1 Be brave. Even if you're not, pretend to be. Aye, that's it.
