For yesterday:

-Picked some tomatoes from my allotment.
-I sorted out some photos that I want to get copies of.
-did some stretches.0 -
supersaver it just seemed a shame that fallen whiskers were 'discarded' by the hoover/swiffer doo-dah.
As for cats happily chomping on their discarded claw sheaths,I can't remember where I heard that, but chomp she does.
Does it make me sound a bit loopy?!I suppose so....:o
I'm so glad for you that you are happier at work, now that you have changed jobs. It's so important to enjoy your work.:)
Wishing you (and everyone else!) a good working week.
PS well done on the run and your PB.I was a very serious runner for a few years a while back. It's such a good feeling when you can feel yourself improving. :j0 -
Frith - Google doodles have invited John Venn, turning 180 today, to join younger son's 11th.
I think younger son might like playing there:-) I certainly do.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

If you are fortunate to read this at work, or like DD, on the beach. :j
Reporting live from W8rz. After a big bee sting breakfast, two snorker and fried tatties version, I am in the enviable position to report, BoPsie will not be coming close to me today. I have just purchased, at reduced prize, a big tub of livers, chicken version. This will be panned with onion come half past the twelve o'clock today.
BoPsie reported it was a good job I got away with it yesterday!
More pleasures later:D0 -
Shhhhh. No telling BoPsie now. Got enuff liver for two servings. One has been bagged for Saturday! Yum yum.0

It's almost bedtime and I'm very tired because.....
1. Got up at a ridiculously early hour to watch the closing ceremony for the games.
2. Sobbed through 'Caledonia' and ' Auld Lang Syne'
3. Day 1 as Mhagster the Manager! Blooming 'eck....staff with attitude and issues!
4.sun decided to make an appearance after a very cold start!
5. DD2 came in after school to help me close because ......
6. Dinner after work to make announcement that Mhagster is the Manager
We went to a really nice pizzeria near work. 'Twas lovely and boss paid which was even lovelier.
7. My lovely husband came and picked us up so we didn't need to freeze waiting for a train.....I came home with leftovers! Pizza , which son is having for lunch tomorrow and a dessert pizza which DD1 had.
8. Son is getting a refund from international fees , we are not sure how much but it will be most gratefully received
9. Last wee extra pleasure from yesterday .....DD1 and I went through my box of birth, marriage and death certificates and newspaper cuttings from my dad's family. These go back almost 200 years. Once she finishes exams we will sort them out and maybe research some more.
10. Got a new Facebook friend
Have a fabulous Monday ....I could have stayed in bed an extra 3 hours as they are now repeating the closing ceremony on telly....ah well!0 -
Greetings from Vienna airport. I am on my way back
It is a hole whole week and a half until my next holiday.
Vinegar cake sounds interesting
Antigua DD? Sounds great
Sorry it's chilly Mhags, s'quite warm here :whistles:
Pleasures for yesterday
1 nice hotel breakfast, set me up for the morning, just as well as lunch was late
2 went up a mountain on a steam train. Finally found one that works. Beautiful beautiful trip
3 we walked down, my dicky knee held out.
4 Lunch in a bar part way down the mountain. Ham and eggs. Yum
5 we didn't get wet
6 until the evening when we were wandering round this suburb of Vienna. Trying to find an open restaurant. Finally found a pizzeria.
Looking forward to getting home to my girl and a nights sleep without OH snoring ( he and DS have a few more days).
See you back in blighty.I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Thank you for your love, thoughts and hugs. We're working through the necessary steps towards Mum's funeral next Tuesday 12th, after which we'll hopefully have time for ourselves to reflect and perhaps let go of our British stiff upper lip a little. We're useless at letting the barriers down as a family, blame it on our Forces upbringing (father), career (my DB) and marriage (me)!
1. Today I've made a tray of biscuits for the muttley. He's been so very patient and so good for my neighbours when I've been out day after day, he deserves a lot more of my time and some special treats
2. Yesterday a dear friend took me to her parents for a barbecue. Her mother is a Cruise counsellor and after a peaceful afternoon with a lovely family I went home feeling quite calm
3. This morning I thinned out a shrub which had taken over a large part of my wee garden, very scratchy and quite bloody but very theraputic
4. Enjoying the last of the Games, now giving my attention to the Proms
5. I had a 'Spend £20 in store and save 6p a litre on fuel' voucher, so I bought lots of silly, luxury things which cost £33 - plus a packet of value tomatoes. Yes, I've definitely lost the plot!
Have a good rest of the day0 -
Hi Marmite I don't think it made you sound loopy
. You clearly love your cats. When my old cat was a kitten, I used to make the bed and put him under the fitted sheet. He used to love it and used to claw himself up and down the bed. I used to have to coax him out. Don't ask how I discovered that - it's just the kind of thing you do when you're a cat lover I guess. :rotfl:
Thanks for the good wishes. I wish I'd never taken carp job, but glad to be out of it
I'm loving the running now. I'm not very good, but getting better. Do you have any tips?
Hope you are okay too? Have a great evening.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

sparrer, you have your priorities exactly right.
A little bit of tonight's 1 Light left Burning/Candle@22h in nearby village Church will roam far and wide and enfold many people and things and times for me. Certainly you and yours will be part of all my reflection.
w8ros had 4 overflowing baskets of rtc chocs this arvo - AND & did NOT TAKE A SINGLE ONE. I'm very glad to read you did the Honours in my stead.
