Broomstick - that's great news about your new cottage. :j Hope the move's going as well as can be expected. :undecided

Frith - yay for new kitten! smiley-hug011.gif

Tealady - re River Isis - the software we use at work for scanning documents is called 'Isis', too, which always makes me smile (until I actually start scanning, anyway, a job I loathe so much I almost always do it myself as it doesn't seem fair to dump it on the poor admin assistant!).

    1) Realised I really didn't need the CH, and turned it off until the autumn. :money:

    2) Took lunch to work - something I don't do often enough - although the apple ended up in the compost bin after two bites when I discovered that the bits that weren't bruised were over-ripe to the point of mush. :(

    3) Another ridiculously quiet day at work: by 2pm I had run out of things to do, so spent some time looking up pubs / restaurants in London in preparation for my visit in a couple of weeks' time. I'm only going for three nights so won't be able to visit a fraction of the interesting-sounding places I've found. :o

    4) Gave Isis' pot of grass a trim, filling the flat with the scent of newly-mown lawn.

    5) Pig inna bun (bacon-wrapped sausage in a crusty roll) for dinner.
Back after a very long break!

Firth: I see mentions of rhubarb and can’t help thinking about custard as a kitten name-perhaps showing my age.
Ampersand: Hope you are feel better soon, doing well being dairy free.
Broomstick: That’s wonderful news, what happy changes.
    1. A couple of loads of pet bedding washing done.
    2. Made a start into some proper tidying out our tiny bathroom and de cluttered and tidied the landing. It was also my way of taking out working through how annoyed I was at work.
    3. The essentials are in the fridge, food planning for the weekend, and with the essentials more salad is being had as well. Might make a few cupcakes to stav off the sweet craving well or maybe a couple of tiny easter eggs may have to be acquired.:o
    4. 6 little tomato plants growing on the window sill.
    5. Potato salad with home grown herbs.

    Good evening everyone :hello:

Broomstick - what great news! Hope it all goes well.

Today has been the final day of term. Whoop!

    So, my pleasures for today:

    1) Had "Italian Chicken" for supper. This was a staple during my student years a *cough* few years ago *cough cough*. Still lovely though. :D

    2) Another run/jog/stagger this evening.

    3) My blog post has been published. The subject is the afternoon tea I had with my friend last Saturday.

    4) Just relooked at the Local eBay Deals Mapper on MSE. I'd forgotten how good it is.

    5) Really must book rail tickets for a friend and I when we go to see Miranda in a week's time.

    Night all! x

Vicky I do like the blog - oh the temptation of all those lovely goodies! How do you restrain yourself? ;)

    1. Cuppa with a friend, helped her take up the hem of a dress. She had chocolate chip muffins but I didn't have one
    2. Exchanged emails with DS's OH, sent her some photo's of the sweet peas progress - but not the half empty jar of lemon cheese ;)
    3. Changed my mind (a woman's privilege, of course) about what I'm wearing to a party tomorrow for the third time. Think I'm happy with what I've put together now :o. All picked from my wardrobe etc., so at least it hasn't cost me anything
    4. nsd/npd, meals from the freezer, no heating on, an economical today
    5. Mentoring this evening, very happy with their progress

    Sweet dreams :)

Hmmm...we are all singing from same hymnsheet....hmm, let's say a bit of a worried Hmmm, hopefully not significant. Didn't have time to use free Cathedral Pass, which came as a huge surprise the other week, but seeing it in wallet was good. Back in the day when R was alive, we wandered in and out. No such thing as charges then.

    5. Listened to St Petersburg and Timbuktu Cabin Pressures again last night and have just caught up - at b-i-i-i-g last - with Jimmy Perez, while hair+conditioner does its piled up thing on &'s head. Time to rinse, so toodlepip.

    Enjoy the party, sparrer

    Friday's funtastic treats....

    1. I FINALLY understand that I'm not the world's worst teacher trainee, having met up with the woman who has the ultimate power to kick me off! She said the same things everyone else has been saying, but I kind of needed to hear them from her to accept them! :) Big relief....if I continue to have 'problems', then I can retake my placement in September, and they are not going to throw me off the course! :)

    2. Went to bed before 7.30pm as I was just sooooo darned tired. Love my bed.

    3. Had a look for a sofabed, v. exciting :)

    4. Started going through our already minimal stuff and have got rid of probably a bin liner's worth in a short space of time!

    5. Managed to get to the solicitor's with my ID so they can start the conveyancing process :):)
