    1. Better day at uni

    2. Met up with my lovely uni tutor, who mopped up my tears, has said she would like to be my tutor for my next placement and is going to email the course leader to see if this can be put in place, and has offered me practical help. What a lovely lady :)

    3. Cuddles with DD :):)

    4. Mummykins seems to be finally on the mend :)

    5. Very, very, very exciting......one of the two lovely flats I missed out on a few months ago has come back on the market (sadly the chap who was going to buy it is very old and has now become ill, so will be going to a home :( for him but :) for us!). I have put an offer in which should be accepted tomorrow morning, as I was told I have first refusal :):):)

DD and I are super-excited! It's quite a small flat, but has parking, is in a lovely town near where we are now, very near 2 parks, Waiiitrose and, most importantly for us, is just along from the library :)

What a lovely day for you, Kittikins! Good to hear about the Uni tutor and I hope you get the flat. :-)

    Pleasures for today:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Pilates was good.

    3) Crab sandwiches for lunch.

    4) The doctor phoned about bigger son's scan. He's got to see a specialist but everything will probably be OK. (Not so smaller son, but that appointment is tomorrow!)

    5) Smaller son had a good day at school and helped out at the nursery.

    6) Tidied the garden up a bit.

    7) Forgot to mention yesterday that I booked us onto a holiday run by Autism West Midlands. We haven't been on holiday since 2005! It will be 4 days/3 nights in a youth hostel with all food included :-) So I've been looking to see what is nearby today and it's all looking good.

    8) Struggled through bigger son's drama homework with him (with the deadline being tomorrow....) What a lovely play they chose for year 8s to talk about with their parents - Oedipus...

    9) In bed now and about to watch Holby.

Wonderful evening at the live music club, I will be putting up videos in the next few days.
Three of my favourite singers, and one of them sang a favourite song of my Mum's.
Cheap on the drinks front - walking with two sticks, the only way I can safely carry a drink is to pop a can of Diet Coke into my shoulder bag. So unless I have someone offer to carry my drink, no more alcohol on nights out. This isn't so bad.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

Our lovely dog who was a much loved member of our family and who went to live with my mum when we moved out here, and laterally with my aunt and uncle since mums been unwell , has sadly been put to sleep yesterday. She was a lovely old girl and will be missed by us all. She had a happy life though and was the most enthusiastic squirrel chaser ! I am grateful that her last few months have been happy ones.

So some pleasures to balance the sadness.

Cuddles with my family this morning as we woke up to the news. Even 6 foot boys still need a hug!

    Work...busy but fun!
Home with dinner for everyone :)

The final episode of Call the Midwife to watch and I've just seen that someone has put Casualty on YouTube so pleasures ahead for my evening!

Came home to 2 lovely handwritten letters from my 2 letter writing friends back home, so that was nice to sit down and kick my shoes off and read them and catch up on their news.

Crazy birds! The noise the corellas were making half an hour ago was tremendous. They were swooping and swirling outside our house , chasing the magpies! Makes me smile :)

Changes ahead at work ....hopefully all positive ones.( think of the money Mhags think of the money! ...we have another semester of uni fees to pay for in 3 months!)

Have a lovely Wednesday. kittikins hope you get good news about your new home.
broomstick hope all is well with you and your boys. chooky chicken hope all is well with you.
  • This post contains no ratty bits!

Now I hope I did [STRIKE]not[/STRIKE] upset people as I was talking of kittens and tender things, and codswallop yesterday. But yous lot should nose that every good ship should have a decent cat. Raffles, our new tiger, certainly is that.
Now where was we all. I see others are into the crunch, with crab sandwiches. Perfect claw! Uni seems well, and flats are being hunted. Newbies abound and poorlies getting better. Jenny kicked off this morning! :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpuls

5 After suffering a defeat to BoPsie the other night, BoP bang back on form yesterday as he came from behind to retain his champion mode. Now BoPsie always asks when she nods in front, or rather boasts her agility. One really thinks she should …

4 Looks like the Mariners are ion collision course with Luton, except we could get our pay day at Wembley

3 Now one for DFV to read, so gets yourself a cuppa gal. Filled me meeting with donkeys this morning and throw in some rabbit food as well. The Dogs soon were searching the bins, be we packed them out. Amazing that they just bray and no. The go ahead is on. Glory be to BoP.

Carrots were used to lead them on!

2 Another claw sandwich today. Now people yet again stop me in the street and question what goodness I am feasted on. I say it is not me who has created the feast I salivate for, but the one who is the greatest did it.

1 Beware when the story is censored, that we do not become the braying donkey instead

I’ve been MIA a couple of days as I’m also off work unwell, too unwell to work from home, and instead I got texts and calls,:( so I switched off the phone, now all my uncertainty about making my decision has faded away, now I must be patient knowing I have mentally made the decision.:)

    Good evening everyone :hello:

Trying to be a little earlier tonight and give you a quality post as opposed to a rushed post!

Kittikins - It's so good that you have an understanding uni tutor. That's so vital for anyone undertaking a course.

    Frith - :j :j about the holiday!

My lovely students left today. The children were really sorry to see them leave, as was I. They gave me a lovely card saying how much they appreciated my support etc. Oh, and a massive box of Malteasers. I've resisted opening the box so far, but I'm unsure as to how long it can remain closed. :D In return, I gave them a bumper pack of multi-coloured pens (for marking!) and a Smarties Easter egg with the immortal words, "Only Smarties have the answer". :rotfl: I was really pleased with myself! Ok, I'll get my coat.... :D

So, my 5 pleasures for the day:

    1) My Headteacher has asked me whether I'd like to participate in a "Good to Outstanding" teaching programme. So, so delighted to be appreciated. It's taken MANY years of blood and sweat (and tears!!) to get to this point. A poke in the eye to my previous school who never gave me above a "Satisfactory".

    2) Yellow sticker chicken kievs for supper. Life in the fast lane! :D

    3) Card sorted for a friend who has her half-century birthday this weekend! :D

    4) Loaned a guidebook to Barcelona to a work colleague who is visiting over Easter. I feel virtuous!

    5) £5 Amazon voucher added to my account for completing a survey. I haven't spent it yet.... :o

Right, I've got to sort my sock drawer. Sadly, I'm not joking! Then I won't have to do it next week.... :)
