5 OS Pleasures in your Day Today part 2

1. Warmer weather meant a dive into a different section of the wardrobe and a short sleeved top that hasn't been seen for a while. I like the variety.
2. Left over Chicken Thing for lunch with a couple of slices of gluten free bread and butter.
3. Went outside work for a break this morning just to enjoy the sunshine.
4. Coffee with a friend after work. We had a lovely chat as she has been away for a while and there was lots to catch up on. The terrible thing is that I walked out without paying but I rang them up at once when I realised and am going in tomorrow. I only owe £2.20.
5. More washing outside to dry whilst I am at work tomorrow.0 -
Evening

2. Left over ravioli for lunch, yummy
3. Free cup of tea in waitr0se with friend at lunchtime, means we can chat about office politics without looking over our shoulder
4. OH picked me up from work so home early
5. Finished off a blanket that I have been making for someone, it has been hard going but now all done and ready to be delivered tomorrow.
Hugs to all who need them0 -

5. finally finished a skirt I've been altering for about a year, hardly a labour of love as it's silk cut on the bias but I'll enjoy wearing it
Sweet dreams0 -
Tealady, congratulations on becoming mortgage free
That's brilliant for you, and how lovely that the lady at the building society was happy for you too
McCulloch - DrC.....*swoon*
Gentle hugs LFS xx
1. Music lesson today was GREAT, despite me having to put two children into time out for repeated 'bad' behaviour! They still liked me, thankfully! This week we started creating our 'orchestra'
2. The best part of the music lesson was that student A, after 3 weeks of refusing to join in and sitting out moaning that he doesn't like music, joined in and had a whale of a time:)That, after having been my 'expert helper' in literacy made me a very happy Ms Kittikins. His mum was also tickled pink when I told her out in the playground after school
3. Feeling v. glad that DD and I made the most of the sunshine yesterday, so whilst I was sad it wasn't as warm or sunny today, I had the lovely memories!
4. My lovely headteacher gave me a great idea to make my interview lesson tomorrow more exciting! She's so lovely.....if only my class teacher/mentor was more like her *sigh*. 3 weeks to go.....
5. Great chat with my co-student. She did an amazing maths lesson this morning and I took copious notes (both for an 'observation' and to help me improve).
6. Yummy soup, mummykins is so clever to turn yesterday's not amazing dinner leftovers (sorry mummykins!) into delish soup
7. Pumpkin bread....need I say more?
8. Didn't have to go to parents' evening tonight - yayNot yay for DD's teachers though, as they have O***d coming in tomorrow!!

tealady I will echo everyone else's comments , yay to a paid off mortgage! that must be an enormous relief to you and yay to lovely in laws for being so generous.:)
Well, workety work! Yesterday was chaos today was so quiet...until my colleague left and well everyone decided to come visit! Although the closing shift is a heavy and more physical one I do prefer it...one more to go and then it's days off
Rain! It's pouring at the moment...what a pleasure for this dry state of Victoria. 150 weather records were broken this summer...including hottest, grumpiest and sweatiest mhagster! also a pleasure ,after I discovered as I went for the train , the brolly in my bag was broken, it didn't start to pour until I was home!
Home! To a parcel of Percy piglets ( inhaled very quickly by DD2 ....so I gave her brother the very last packet brought from home at Christmas. My friend and favourite 6 year old had sent a combined birthday parcel for Dd2 and I .
Home with wraps for tea . So that was easy! Also 2 bottles of coke for kids ...didn't tell them they are 3 days out of date! They'll be fine I'm sure
Think that's me...going for a shower and then get my pjs on I think....won't be going far tonight and we don't need to water the veggies!
Have a great Tuesday
chicken where are you chooky? We miss you!0 -
3. DD's dog has done a sterling job of getting rid of the moss in the lawn -

quick 5 for yesterday
1) xoh back from america. i guess you kinda get used to someone after living with them for 30 years so was nice to have her home
2) gbf usually brings soup in for us to share on monday but he forgot so full points to moi for bringing in a packed lunch regardless cos it can always sit in the work fridge for an extra day
3) came across Kathy Kelly's live on a pound a day book when sorting some stoof. anyone else read it? bought it for my mum who then passed it onto me. very amusing to read. your post vickya re research is very much the key to her success
4) learnt to knit reverse bobbles as to knit a dalek themed square one needs it seems right side bobbles and wrong side bobbles
5) salamander episodes 9 and 10. gripping (though can't knit while watching as need to read the subtitlesMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
