Thanks ampersand, I just hope I'll make the £10 back for my pitch! I've been procrastinating / missing DD / reading uni stuff (but not the stuff I have to read, just other stuff.... all blooming day, so have about 3 things in the car to sell at the moment!!
sparer - what a disappointment that Mr S turned out to be Mr Silly
1. The sun came back after a very dull and a wee bit chilly start!
2. Missing DD but I'm sure she's having a great time being miss independent kitty at camp. Not long now til tomorrow afternoon
3. I've borrowed a table to help me display my wares at the car boot sale tomorrow. If I get up early enough I'll find stuff to put on it!......
4. Went to my chum G's and she treated us and her children to a Chinese takeaway, nomnom.
5. Sorted out the contents of DD's desk - that girl has more coloured pencils and crayons than most schools! I've thrown away all the dodgy pens and so that'll make moving a bit easierAfter all, I have to do the little jobs as well as the big tasks, don't I?!

1. The first three sweetpea flowers have opened, and I have picked them - they smell divine! And.......
2. .....there are lots more to come :j
3. I had a lovely evening out with friends :T
4. Fresh sheets tonight.
5. It was cooler here today so I was able to cut the grass and do some much needed weeding.0 -
dd- wave to old NW3 addy for me please - odd no. in Arkwright Road. Set front garden tree on fire one Guy Fawkes night, but a nightingale sang in it not long after, as late&blvd R and I sat on wall with a late night whisky...
kittikins - it's too easy to conflate one's own faiblesses with recognised traits elsewhere. For what it's worth, I DO feel I know how you've gone through today. Something like besets me pre-Spits and you are dealing with much else, all big, besides. With DD away, maybe the coping mask sub-consciously gave itself a stand-down day. Now, just set yourself to auto-pilot+tunnel vision...so easily said, but in the end, doing one more load, then one more load, then one more load, suddenly becomes a done thing, a full car. You will do it, will manage. Best to switch brain off during this part I always find - big hugs.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Mr S - you've let us down, but most of all you've let yourself down!
Here are my pleasures for today:
1) This neck of the woods downgraded from heatwave level 3, to level 2. Only 26 degrees today, much better than the low 30s!
2) Not a bad sleep.
3) Went into town and found a geocache in the most marvellous park. It was an area of derelict land for years (all my growing up) in one of the most run down boroughs in Europe. Well, it is still run down and grotty, but the park is ace! There are pools, a stream, a slightly renovated mill with waterwheel etc. We took the scooters as well. Because it is surrounded by flats and derelict bits, hardly anyone uses it.
4) Sainsburys after then B and Q for AGES. Sons have always enjoyed a look round there. I priced up units and work surface for the new kitchen (next month). Sons priced up lawnmowers (we don't have a lawn...)
5) Cooked pasta for tea and we ate it whilst watching the first Harry Potter film on television.
6) Had a table tennis tournament at mum and dad's.
7) Got the 3 birthdays organised (sister's, smaller son's and friend's daughter's) and the thank you card for smaller son's school. Cards signed, presents wrapped etc.
8) Went swimming with sons and my brother.
9) Watched Casualty.
10) Sitting with the windows open feeling the house actually get quite cool.0 -
Will be back later but yeah! I've got a new job0

Hoorah! Hope you'll celebrate with a scone mhagster. Looking forward to reading all about it
Thanks for your kind words ampersand, I woke up an hour ago feeling more with it and have wandered around throwing things into piles to go into the car - a very random selection, but based on my previous forays into fields, it seems to be the odd things like cheese graters that go more quickly than the lovely books and clothes!? What can I say, people are odd.....
A bientot0 -
Yay for Mhags :T:T
Good luck Kittikins
Frith , the lawn mower thing made me :rotfl: as did the Mr S thing.
Enjoying a quiet cuppa in the cool boudoir, OH abandoned me for the spare room at some point (he is a night time prowl round the houser and often retires back to there so he doesn't wake me)
Strawberry picking and jam making today, how stupidly excited I am about it.
Enjoy your days each and every oneI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

5 Beans on topast. Does that count as a pleasure of Breakfast or show some dark mysterious secret?
4 Cat has truly worked a favour with Ms BoP. I fed him this morning and got his ball of yarn out. Down comes Ms BoP in her negligee and two pawed, feeds him again. Last night had to clean his eyes, with cotton wool. He hates it, and was air pawing. Finished him off in a game of Dab Paw, where I air kick when he is laid on the ground and his paw comes across. No marks, and the cat lost. Takes it out on Ms Whacks legs later, but no animals were injured during this toying. Ms Smack has a few more scratches on her legs.
3 All day. Nope to do.
2 Gether with Ms BoP and Cauliflower Cheese for teas me thinks
1 Next year, there will be talk and bullship about the Great War. Something's will be lost in translation. Here is an interesting 1. Germany had to launch a major attack in the Spring of 1918, before the US were capable of being in France in sufficient strength. It nearly paid off.0 -
Congratulatins Mhags - great news
