omegawd, big (((hugs))) ampersand! Well done you for standing your ground, sounds like you put those young whippersnappers in their place :p.
Some years ago I had a police car approach me, swerved across the road in the dark with headlights full on so I was forced to stop. I couldn't see what/who because of the lights so refused to oped the door when he knocked on the window, it wasn't til he bent down I could see the uniform. I opened the window a little and he said did I know I had a headlight out!! Cross would be putting it mildly! But like you I outwardly maintained my equilibrium even if I was spitting blood under my breath.
It wasn't anything like your horrid experience so I can't begin to understand how it's made you feel, can only send you calming thoughts and a soothing ecup of Earl Grey - sorry no assam in the larder - but imagine the C@dbury's choccie wafer in the saucer ;). Hoping the memories of your France trip and Spit's day far outweigh the awful events on your drive through Kent. which I'm sure they will.

Ampersand, that's awful glad you stood your ground ok, horrible to have to do so!.

1.Downloaded what look like a few good free kindle books, one is “Fire burn and cauldron bubble” looks light hearted
2.Looking forward to cleaning up the green house at the weekend, 5 big tubs of crocuses coming up. I want to get the vegetables underway.
3.Went for a walk to the post office to get some air, but it was a slidy pastime but managed to stay upright.
4.A lovely dinner using yesterdays rtcs proper ham, and quiche picked up for 20p each, just making some mash and serving with pickle.:)
5.Haven’t achieved anything today, and it will still be there tomorrow.
6.I received a surprise voucher for an order I thought of putting together online at the weekend but didn’t bother, the voucher covers all of it included p&p a load of vegetable seeds to get going for 10p.:)
    7. Edited to add in a bid to sort out some savings having been in a bad place a few years ago, I researched and have gone about setting up a cash isa that is completely seperate to the current accounts. Glad to have done it now to see if I can get if filled by April hmmm.

Goodness ampersand, what a horrendous experience for you. Big hug to you :grouphug:

Well, my school has been closed AGAIN today but this time due to the heating. What a right royal pain! Anyway, it does at least mean that I caught up with last night's Miranda. I was laughing like a drain!

    My 5 pleasures for today:

    1) Visited the charity shops in town and came away with (ahem) a book by a favourite author, which I haven't read. 95p more than I was going to spend today, but it's all for a good cause isn't it? *hopeful smiley*

    2) Washing done and just need to finish off yesterday's ironing and then I'm up to date. Until tomorrow, no doubt! ;)

    3) Chicken defrosted ready for "Italian chicken", this evening's meal. It's one of our staple meals, so I really need to break out of this rut.

    4) Sorting out our jaunt to the south of France immediately after Easter. Flights booked using our Avois points, which we've had since :money:told us how to get free ones a few years ago. Still need accommodation but we're at least going AND we'll have a hire car. ;)

    5) Erm, not actually got a fifth one. I do like catching up with everyone else's news.

Have a good rest of the day.

  • Goooodness & you have been across high water, seen Paris and grunted back. All in the name of getting archers on the iPlayer. To add to all tat, you loose your left glove. Well, it will be in the Paris lost property box, with my leather jacket.

    SPARRA. Inn Bedford. Near tesco.

5 I see that according to of benefit snooooozeletter at work, yesterday was Blue Monday. Now who released that, New Order. No, it is a media incrustration of induced proletariat misery. Pipe the down and sugars, I missed it,

4 Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr 12 degrees of frost last night and Beard's truck needed three kicks to turn over and ten miles to warm the tackle up.

3 Job is a good one, document out at work. Sorted. Just gotta do it.

2 Finished the book, so now got a football match tonights, only one week to go before the DD BoP head to head. Up the MARINERS.

Blimey ampersand, that sounds horrendous, how scary and how WRONG of it to happen!! The worst I had once was when driving home from the airport in the early hours of the morning, I was followed for a few miles then pulled over, I had my airline uniform and security badge on, but the bored policemen interrogated me as to who I was, where I'd been, why I was on the road at this time - I quoted the flights that had been delayed causing me to be here - then they kicked my ancient car to see if anything would fall off, and let me go........I was 18 and very frightened!

    Anyway, on to nicer things....

    1. NSD, I'm getting good at these :)

    2. Great day at work, although I did eat far too many biscuits!

    3. Showed initiative etc and was commended for it by the Head :) Such a shame it isn't a primary school, or I'd try for Schools Direct there!

    4. Managed to get home safely after losing control of the car for a moment at a mini roundabout in the village due to the snow and ice!

    5. Before the snow started up, popped in to see OH who is flat on his back, thankfully chirpy but alas and alack, I know there's no way he'll be taking me out tomorrow night as he's way too poorly. But it was lovely to see him, put a smile on his face and have a quick cuddle. I'm liking this taking it slowly lark!

    6. Rainbows was cancelled - not really a pleasure but it meant I didn't have to drag DD out again in the ice and snow.

    7. Freezer surprise dinner was delish!

    8. Snuggled up in my warm house with my little DD, wondering if tomorrow will be a 'snow day'
  • Oh, sat in pub. Pint of pu55y, Everards Tiger. Tuned into the Footie DD!!!!!!

Oh, and I forgot, & hugs for all that expedition you had.
