Kits Yous must always do what is right, keep happy and always be ncie whatever the carp throws around at us.
Mhags Suppose the rain makes you feel at home?
Rite off weed today. No Rugger, No Footie. All off. No Commentry from Mansfield. Still just heard the new version of He Ant Ervy. I am sure my cat swung by his tail could do far better. Souds daft, but used to like that ditty, same as Candle in Wind. Some should not be remade. Casue is good though.
5 Why I alwys thinks of Chicks, just duns mes wings for tonight. Silly Peppered lemon version. Should be brill. We got roast Buzzard for lunch Sunday, and got the stuffing, with sausage meat from butcher. Had a reversion and already had a raw oine. I nose, should not, but hey gals, yous duss no not what yous missing. Old habbits die hard.
4 Watched Playhouse Presents series on Sky Bugged box. Saw three on the trots with Lady Black. The one about the last Ted was excellent, with the ex Lady Black's hereart throb Tom Jones. Very good series of dualogues. Paul O'Grady was very good, and the exiled Lady Black was positively oooooooogling by then. Now yous do not thinks I gave her tooooo much whine and Cheese. Guide here
And now we has downloaded the Young Doctors Notebook. I thinks Ms Black licks Master Radcliffe!
Now If I oggled at ... theres wooood be big trouble. Then again, there was the Bunny Boiler aged 19 from a year or so back.
3 Selected some nice ales for this evening and a bottle of fine, non French, for the gal. We are having Finger kebabs, pizza and me is having me chicken wings.
2 Was in Messers Rose and Waites, got some cheepo nibbles for new year. Also got some Windward Isle (St Lucia) bananas. Friend Roy at work always says buy theses. His familiy still live there and the fairtrade ones from elsewhere seriously affected the ecomony, so everything helps. Managed to get some Marmalade from South Africa as well. Got Big Sis her birthday ard and SIL hers. they are both the same and printed in GB. Took age to get Xmas cards this year.
Then had me free cuppa tea. Tea, as yoiu get a refill and remember half the creamer stuff on the coffeee is an accident of the Cold War, Corn Glucose syrup. Nice and sweet, white like milk, but full of carp. had this and a 10p chocolate eclair. With me Card, was only 9p. Gosh the place is poacked with a better class of twins, Dan Mags abnd fruity singlet 50 somethings. Sorry grandma, forget it!

Here is the ending, saves going thrice.
Oh that was it. Do you thinks I am rambling like & or just gone into overdrive about as nothings.0 -
Quick question, why won't it let me have a longer signature on my user name? I keep seeing other people have long signatures but it keeps saying mine is too long? I'm confused.:(
1. Lie in again!
2. Awful weather out there but at least I don't have to go out in it!
3. I'm going to have a hot bath with a face pack etc... later.
4. I need to go and find a container to use as a box for the recycling stuff in my kitchen instead of buying a new one.
5. Used some vouchers to buy some stuff online for the cats so it cost me nothing.:T0 -
Your signature RD: I wonder if it's because it's in bold and a large font? Perhaps that accounts for 3-4 lines of a sig rather than one. Also did you copy and paste it in and capture a blank line? I've noticed there's a big gap below the text and before the second blue line of the signature 'box'.
Try deleting after your signature in the editing thingy to get rid of it?Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Hello everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful christmas. Everything is just returning to normal here, decorations down, meal plan is creeping back into action and my social engagements are calming down nicely. As much as I love christmas I am glad it's all over and normal service can be resumed. I do miss my routine
My five for the festive period.
1. Lots of lovely new bakeware for christmas, will certainly enable us to cut down on processed goodies in favour of homemade ones.
2. Took homemade soup to OHs on boxing day and it was met with rave reviews, one of which was from a former chef. Not bad for a girl who couldn't boil an egg!
3. Declutterring... Finally. I cling onto stuff for no good reason and we just don't have the space so I'm gutting the place. If its not used its going to charity or the tip if it unusable. It's so tiring going through stuff though, that's why I've let it build up for so longone drawer at a time!
4. Lovely hot drinks made with the coffee syrups I received for Xmas. Just as nice as the expensive coffee shop types but made with my 99p electric whisk. Bargain!
5. I'm about to open my £2 savers jar, been saving all year and I said I would wait until the end of the year but we are going shopping for new bedding on Monday so I'm opening up early. It's my first year doing it and I am so blimmin' excitedComper, Blogger & OS-erCompetition prizes: £6/£20150 -
Amazon Vine sent me some guitar accessories to review that my son will absolutely love using.
I'm so pleased - they are worth £57 and just what I would have bought him for Christmas, if I could have. What with that and the food processor last week, he's done well...
Sparrer, if you are pampering, (brilliant!!) do go and tell all on the Toiletries thread, now that you are one of us over there. We love having a nose on the goodies people use.
Still no word on that job I went for. At least, it was a nice morning in a posh setting. I realised afterwards we'd gone past the house of a lady who was once a fellow home based childcare tutor - a lovely person.
Not so good, rang my friend this morning to see if we were meeting up for coffee. She is a wheelchair user and on oxygen but still drives and gets out when she can.
She told me she wasn't good - the doctor was coming out.
This is very worrying as she underplays things normally.
My son's away so I can't get to her place easily to see her -it's a bit of a pain on public transport.
Your thoughts for her would be welcome. Thank you for all the good things you have shared.
P.S. My tree comes down just before Twelfth Night. It takes hours to decorate, no way is it coming down earlier!Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Thanks. I will experiment!:)0 -
Afternoon all.
I haven't had a chance to catch up on all the festive posts yet, so I hope everyone had a lovely time.
My 5 for today:
1) Lie-in this morning, without being woken either by mog having an early-morning sing-song (going away for a few days seems to have temporarily cured him of the habit) or by my parents' cats demonstrating their hunting skills on a piece of wrapping paper (which, OK, was rather cute!).
2) Managed to get up to the shop between downpours and bought only what I needed, although I was a little disappointed by the lack of yellow stickies. I might wander down to W&itr0se tomorrow to see what they've got in the YS line.
3) Had a brief raid on the sale section of my favourite jewellery website, because I need more earrings.
4) Did my good deed for the day and reported a smashed bus shelter to the council: someone should have been out to tidy up all the broken glass by now, I hope. :A
5) Lazy evening tonight, with one of the Yankee candles I got for Christmas :j - I just need to make the difficult decision of which one I fancy first.
6) - just remembered - a lovely sunset, with gold clouds on a lavender-coloured sky - so pretty!
Have a lovely evening, everyone.Back after a very long break!0 -
Going out in a bit so here are my pleasures for today so far:
1) Lie in.
2) Smaller son particularly jolly this morning.
Sons at their father's this weekend so have...
3) Cleaned entire living room inc floor, stove, dusting, taken tree and decorations down and put everything away! Oh, and cleaned the mould off the walls behind the TV stand and the sofa. The joys of living in an ancient cottage.
4) Changed bed and done 3 loads of washing.
5) Had homemade soup for lunch (from freezer)
6) Spent much of this afternoon trying to mend the storage heater in here. Rarely use them but would be comforting to know the downstairs one is working if I need it (1 downstairs and 2 upstairs). Will test it tonight and have emailed Dimplex in case I can't fix it.
7) Off to my sister's for tea.0 -
About to go enjoy wobbleade with neighbours but here's 5 for my day
1) discarded lumpy mattress and replaced with 2 foam ones languishing under bed (DD1 and I have swapped bedrooms)
2) rehung the curtains - much better!
3) walked into town for some fresh air and only bought one pot of mixed herbs
4) forgot to buy more bin bags but DS had a roll in his room(?!)
5) no road kill on walk (so year total still £40.83) but tidying / sorting i have put all coins found in the china haggis dd2 gave me for my bday- so far nearly £2, 1 franc, a nickel and a 1959 sixpenceMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

McCulloch - Thoughts are with your friend and hope she is feeling better quickly
Pleasures for today,
1. OH brought me a cup of tea in bed. He has been in a snot for the last couple of days and knew he had taken it to far yesterday so this was his way of an apology:cool:
2. Beans on toast for brunch using HM bread
3. Visited the inlaws today. SIL is out of hospital but still in a lot of pain and they haven't really found the cause of the infection yet. Keeping fingers crossed they sort it out soon as she is miserable at the moment.
4. NSD
5. Wrote out the meal plan for the coming week and only need a few bits as most things will come out of the freezer or store cupboard.
Hugs to all who need them0
