  • Afternoon everyone.:A

    1. Nice walk with my dog and came back to a hot homemade curry for lunch. Since I now buy frozen veggies I save so much prep time as I used to spend ages cutting up fresh veg. It's cheaper too.:money:

    2. Listening to Classic FM at the moment. I couldn't tell you what was playing as I don't know much about classical music, just that I find it relaxing.:p

    3. I'm about to make a milky cup of coffee.

    4. I need to go and sort out the bins as we have a lot of cardboard to put out. Not a pleasure really but it's making the house look untidy so I will be glad to get rid.;)

    5. I might watch a film with my DH tonight, maybe the Batman one and we have some snacks and stuff in the cupboards downstairs.

I will refrain from being sexist, and insulting by not mentioning Trucks, Grease Gun Injection Couplings, Wheel nuts in a rendered order!

    But they are BIG

    Evening,

Pleasures for the last few days,
    1. Spending Christmas Eve with my brother and his family in his fab Champagne Bar drinking yummy cocktails.
    2. Parents were very suprised to see us on Christmas Day but very very happy.
    3. Lots of lovely christmas presents
    4. Lots of doggy cuddles off mum and dad's westie.
    5. Another one who got a few reduced Waitrose goodies today though not as good as Ampersands haul. I'm sorry but I put my green counter in the one with the most in today but it was for Bowel Cancer Research (my brother died of bowel cancer a few years ago)

hugs to all who need them

    Evening everyone :hello:

I see that I've missed a lot since I was last on here. On Wednesday I had my money on Long Run and he returned a profit. I "met" Lenny/Long Run earlier in the year, so he was blessed with my hard earned cash. I also met Riverside Theatre that day, but Long Run was more of a "character" (ie more of the stable lads loved him!). Good enough for me!

I hope that you all had a good Christmas and are preparing/bracing yourselves for 2013. :D

My 5 for the last few days:

    1) Been sales shopping with my Christmas money in my purse... and bought one t-shirt! Think the rest will be put in my account for a rainy day!

    2) The Claire Lomas piece, featuring my school, was shown on BBC Breakfast on Monday. If you didn't see it, then it's here and my school are featured towards the end. I was holding the microphone when the two children were interviewed! :j :j

    3) Paid the water bill quickly due to our excellent budgeting skills thanks to spending far too long on this website.

    4) Popped in to Tesco for some milk and bread... and came out with milk, bread and some yellow sticker items which can be put in the freezer and then weaved into our weekly menus.

    5) Bag for clothes from the Salvation Army has been posted through the door. I've already selected some things which are in good condition, which I've been trying to get rid of for some time but I just don't have the time for posting on ebay.

    Night all.

    Evening everyone.

    Welcome fibilou

    My five pleasures for Friday:

    1. A vacuumed and tidied house, even cleaned the bathroom :D

    2. Quick dash to shops for bin bags and came home with bin bags and grapes - indulgence and yummy. Did not buy anything in the sales (although I looked and was a little bit tempted by things I didn't really need).

    3. Lovely, lovely organic baked potatoes for supper. They were the ones I bought before Christmas from my newly discovered shop in a nearby village. I'll be back there again!

    4. Drove DS1's g/f back home and the sunset as we went cross-country was beautiful tonight. Hope that meant 'shepherd's delight' in terms of tomorrow's weather. :)

    5. Watched Restless part 1 on iplayer which I really enjoyed, Am very much looking forward to part 2.

    6. Oh, and another quick one from late last night. DS2 taught me to play tabletop basket ball with a set he'd been given by someone. Complete fluke and totally impossible to repeat but I scored first. Ha! :D

    Sweet dreams

I wish I could get to Waitrose - our nearest is absolutely miles away!

Here are my pleasures for today:

    1) A lie in.

    2) Made some wraps for lunch.

    3) Forgot I had put the Graze box on a "holiday" rather than cancelling it so was a surprise to get one today! One of our options was popcorn so that was nice.

    4) Went swimming with sons, my brother and my mum. Mum had her ankle re-built in the summer (tendon that used to operate her toes is now sewn into her ankle) so still can't walk far but did 20 lengths.

    5) Quick stir fry for tea then the belated Christmas pudding!

    6) Started the massive tidy ready for New Year. Found the vital missing A4 sheet that has bigger son's art project details on it. Cleaned the microwave and the fridge and washed sons' school bags and am bleaching their shirts and PE stuff now!

    7) Just upgraded my telephone/broadband to unlimited broadband as I kept incurring charges for overusing it.
