  • Good evening all !

Frith = The Phantom Raspberry Blower ! I did laugh! The room decs. sound lovely.

CCP - Thank you for the Gene Kelly "Smilie" it really was that bad !

    5 for today

    1. Downloaded some more freebies on the Kindle and have not been able to put the thing down since !

    2. Made yorkies (from a budget packet mix ) with some chopped up Rosemary from the garden mixed into the batter, leeks (ha ha had plenty of them lately :rotfl:) in cheese sauce, roast beef , roast spuds and a shop bought sticky toffee pudding ( snap VJsmum)to follow. Now that's what I call a Sunday Roast -Yum Yum stretched Tum.

    3. Mum came round for the roast and she hasn't been eating since the dog was pts..Barker has always been over here with Mum when she comes over for tea and that also upset her a bit:(

    4. Washing finished off on the radiators.

    5. Phone call from my brother in law, he did open his present which I had put in a hair dye box and said he thought "!!!!!!?" :rotfl: .

Have a good evening all !
:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A

    mcculloch how sweet :)
    mhags thank you ;)
    ampersand come back :)
CCP hope the LL gets the window fixed asap, it's blooming freezing out there
BoP no spending here, everyone getting money/vouchers which I know the majority will save to get the best deals in Jan except DS who is in need of some football type boots for his job. Maybe I'll send him a whistle and a new set of coloured cards as well ;). And DD 'alf 'inched my new Muckers for standing on the line in her position as sec/medic/tea lady to her pub team, as I thought she would. sparrer crawls into a corner and hides from all the rugby fans

    1. Not quite so cold this morning but still a very heavy frost which I admit does look pretty from inside
    2. Stopped at Mr M on the way to meeting friends and bought a big ys fresh cream cake. It just went round everyone except me but the crumbs and squidged out cream tasted better anyway
    3. An old friend came to lunch, she's in remission from bowel cancer and has had a horrible time, almost all the vital organs started to shut down but the amazing MHS medical staff helped her pull through and she's 'okay' today :)
    4. The frost was just touching the cars as I got home so covered mine in a big throw which covers all the windows, and a duvet cover for the rear screen. Neighbour saw me and asked if the car would like a pillow as well :D
    5. It's got so cold again it's uncomfortable so I've just put 2 hwb's in my bed, ready for the dash up the stairs when X-factor finishes. I only watch the last few Sunday ones, can't be arrised to go all through the Saturday stuff. I want to watch who's in, not who's got kicked out!

Stay warm, stay safe, sweet dreams :)

    Hello !!

A nice sedentary day today, on the whole.

    1. QUite a good sleep despite the alcohol and, as said, no hangover
    2. Several episodes of the Killing - 4 left and I am going to watch another in a sec when DD has finished with the TV (ooh that rhymes)
    3. DD needs new specs but 2 designer pairs for £109 is good going thanks to Spexxxx savers, including sunglasses as she lost the last pair in america
    4. finally cleaned most of the bedrooms - DD's is a nightmare so I merely dusted the edges (and nicked smarties out of the machine she has on the dressing table, shhh don't tell)
    5. OH cooked tea - yummy chicken and veg curry.

Not looking forward to work tomorrow and goodness knows when the christmas shopping will get done. I am thinking cinema vouchers for a few people.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    Evening

    Pleasures for the weekend,
    1. Two very very lazy days not doing much
    2. Only spend at the weekend has been food shopping
    3. Playing around with cooking and trying to hide lots more veg in dishes. Didn't quite get away with all of it but got away with more than usual.
    4. Wrapped some presents up and checked what was still left to get. Just a few vouchers I think and will all be done.
    5. Chat with one of my brothers on the phone he did annoy me slightly with his attitude but I bit my tongue and let it go :A

Hugs to all who need them
  • Oh no, cat has decked the baubles in the tree.

Am really tired this evening so a quick five for Sunday then hot water bottle and bed.

    1. NSD and NPD.
    2. Sewing while listening to a radio play
    3. Reading my craft magazine.
    4. Some cheerful phone calls at various points in the day.
    5. Discovering a gorgeous looking book on Japanese quilting on Amazon. Will have to save for it!

Right, off to bed. Sweet dreams.

    B x

(Oh and I just remembered an extra one for yesterday which was that I deliberately did a detour through town to look at the Christmas lights. So pretty and not over the top.)
