Not got that far yet so didn't realise! We're looking for a new bed so i'm slowly picking my way through that thread! Still plenty of useful info in there from what i've read so far. Whatever you do avoid silentnight mattresses or any of the silentnight group of companies.

Well the reason we need a new bed is the current silentnight miracoil one is falling apart! Bought it about 5 years ago ..was about £600 or so at the time in a Dreams sale. There is now a hole in the mattress and divan base with multiple springs sticking out everywhere plus it appears to have collapsed a bit at the edges. All i want to do at the moment is sleep as i'm not getting a decent nights kip and wake up aching more than when i went to bed!
The guarantee is pretty much worthless too even in the 5 years as it was a sliding scale sort where they'll only pay a percentage of the cost of a new bed (another silentnight one!) as the years roll by.
Anyway this is just one of the many stories of why not to buy from silentnight...do a forum search and i'm sure you'll find a fair few other moans about them...there's certainly some fairly early on in the huge thread i linked to above.

I got son and his girlfriend a silent night mattress. In two months springs were showing and the edges crushed. Rang supplier who said he had had other similar complaints and all to his credit, replaced it the next day. However, 2 months on and they seem to have the same problem with it :(

Millbrook are a good quality mattress. Ive had one for 12 years now and its as good as new virtually.

Bedworld have this pocket sprung one for £199 including next day delivery? (again cash back on quidco)

When my Millbrook mattress was delivered from Bedworld, the delivery man said how well packed it was - he said that nearly everyone at the depot had a Mattressman mattress because they tend to get damaged in transit as they dont cover the mattress or add protectors to the corners. (Apparently they let the drivers have the damaged ones for £25 each :)
