    Hi everyone
Just back from having a Chinese. Their Special Meal of the Deal (menu del dia) is 6.95€ and comprises, prawn crackers and a glas of sangria the minute you put your bum on a chair, we selected Spring Rolls with Sweet & Sour Sauce, Duck in Orange for DH and Duck in Pineapple for me (which we shared both) Special 3 fried rice, with veg and ham, and Special Fried Noodles again with ham and veg, and then Creme Caramel to finish, half a bottle of wine each (or a beer, or soft drink or water) followed by either Brandy or Peach Schnapps when you ask for the bill. We then went to the bar next door for coffee and Tia Maria, it was delish, but I am rather stuffed, and if I am spelling this correctly then it is a miracle. Looks like H-J could have an advantage when we finish the Scrabble game. Her turn.

Congrats Stef hope it turns out well, for you and Mr Beard, Jackie hope your treatment works too.

    Evening all

I seem to get later at posting!

Stef - good luck with Mr Beard! I too can relate to what you are saying as I was a sp with 2 girls and my Mr Beard (see fb profile pic) was a sp with 2 boys and a girl. We have now been married 13 years next month so although it could get a bit hairy in the early days - it has been so worth it and we are very happy! I really hope it works out for you too!

Roast chicken for tea, with cauliflower, broccoli and corn on the cob was lovely. Enough saved for tomorrow for them as I am going across to Manchester to see my sister and nieces etc. Can't wait - I am going across on the train and that is half of the enjoyment for me, I love train journeys!! Always feels like you are going somewhere exciting. Don't suppose I would feel like that if I commuted to work lol:rotfl:.

BB Well done on the stopping smoking. Hope it all goes as well as can be hoped tomorrow.

Diva - hope the hospital appt went OK

Sorry to hear about the various thefts - what a world!

Good luck to those moving/about to move/hoping to move.

Right off to sort the kitchen out

    x

Was it the sangria, brandy / peach schnapps or Tia Maria that helped?! :D

Donny-Gal I thought my eyes were deceiving me for a moment there :rotfl: It sounds like you have had a lovely evening ;) :D

Just a quickie before I go for a bath to say that I hope everyone has had a good day.

Diva Hope the appt went well at the hospital

NPM Hope that Noah is now recovered from his awful night - bless him - and that you and the washing machine survived the day

Jackie Fingers crossed that the treatment works it must be very uncomfortable for you. I'm outraged at the fact that you are suffering from the ever common 'postcode lottery'.

Bargain Bird I keep meaning to say well done on giving up smoking :j

I wish all the movers a stress free, happy move with no major problems.

    Goodnight all :D

Not the drink folks but the system, kept saying that I had to refresh the page, then showed me an empty screen, luckily I had copied it before refreshing, hence the 3 repeats, fixed now.
