    Morning :)
Daughter has gone on a childrens cookery course this morning (where OH works), they are supposed to be making souffle, chicken and ham pie and french baguettes.
We just popped to Tesco to pick up a direct order, winter duvets for the kids and a new bin for the kitchen.
Should crack on with some more painting but still got a headache from yesterday :s

hope everyone is having a good day :)

    Morning all
Am sat here having had no sleep:rolleyes:
When DS came back from childminders yesterday he said one of the other girls had been sick and he now felt sick...just got into the kitchen and he vomited everywhere. Was sick virtually every half hour all night until there were no more sheets or quilts left for his bed .....so he got into bed with us but I was not comfy so ended up on a beanbag at his side of the bed with a blanket....Fatcat started wandering around meowing as the night wasnt going to normal ways so all in all am tired;)
Am now working my way through the washing of sheets and quilts;)
He seems a bit better now just tired and pale looking.
Am making chilli for tea tonight for OH and I once Sainsbugs delivery gets here. I think thats about it for today apart from trying to stay awake.
MSD what a lovely story about your cowboy, it is lovely that your partners are happy for you to keep in touch and there is no jealousy there...shows you are both in very secure relationships:T
My first real love was a Spanish boy called Luis...have not seen him for 20 years but still wonder from time to time what he is doing now and if he is married with kids etc Iremembered him a lot this summer as he used to look the spitting image of Rodrigo on BigBrother:o:rotfl:.....it is strange to think he is now a 41 year old man:eek:. I have no wish to be with him or anything as all things happen for a reason and that was just not my path, am totally happy with OH but you do sometimes wonder out of noseyness what they are doing now etc.
Hester sorry to hear about your husbands job, that is unfair:o
Sunnygirl how fab to see you back:Twe were all quite worried about you as you suddenly vanished.

    Good Morning,

A bit late on today as the children have been on the computer so far  We have a strict policy of no more than 2 hours a day each during the holidays, taken in one houe segments. There is a strict evening rota for school/college time too. They all, of course, protest that their friends have laptops in their rooms, can go on whenever they want etc etc but I go conveniently deaf :D

Plans for today are to go food shopping, hoover through, deep clean the bathroom, get the ironing done and hopefully get some more cross stitch done. I've pegged the washing out to dry as it's mild & sunny here which makes a change from all the damp recently.

Lunch will be more of the celery & potato soup and dinner this evening is going to be fish, chips & peas :j

    Have a good day all.

    Hi all :hello:

I hope everyone is well, I haven't caught up with the thread yet. I have just made a steak & kidney pudding, I haven't made one before. Well, enjoyed a moment of quiet OS pride when it was all done with the foil cap on (pleated too, I remembered!) Small problem, the dish I had used didn't fit into any of my pans, including the pressure cooker base

So it's now in the slow cooker - I have the MR 6.5 litres one with a kettle full of boiling water around it. Hopefully, this works - Has anyone cooked a pudding in the sc before and can reassure me? :D

Can't see how it cannot work tbh, and google says it will.

    May take a little time.

    Afternoon all!

Been working overtime during the days and normal hours at nights, so not been around much, last extra shift on Saturday starting at 6am, euch! Friend and her boys arriving Friday night, so looking forward to that.

Not working till tonight as taking the kids to see We Will Rock You in a bit, really looking forward to it!

OS stuff has been tidying, hoovering and washing, kitchen S&S and kids bedrooms are in the process of being cleared yet again!

Lunch - leftover carrot and veg soup with crusty bread.

Dinner - forgot to get gammon out, doh! So will be freezer surprise!

Have a good day all and hugs to all who need one, hopefully normal service will resume next week and I can catch up - still the money will be good (necessary?!) for Christmas! xx

    Afternoon all.

Hester what a bummer. I don't in all honesty see their logic.

N9eav don't get me started on scumbags who can't leave other folks' possessions alone.

DianaMattos if anyone jumped on my sofa, they'd get told to desist pretty smartish, mummy present or not!

I've more or less emptied out the washing bin - it's all outside on the line. Of course, I had my canine supervisor with me, making sure I hung it out correctly.:rotfl:

I have to give Molly Dog a good brush later - she's shedding hairs like there was no tomorrow.

I have a hundred other tasks that want doing, and no motivation to do them. Really must get my act together.

Dins tonight will be goodness only knows - Mr LW has offered to help me wash my hair when he gets in, so I'll see what I can come up with that I can bung it to cook while that's happening. Possibly a root-veg stew or something.

I gather there's a few people moving house in the next few days - best of luck, and don't forget to leave the tea/coffee making gear to hand.:o

((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today.
