Morning all
N9eav - sorry to hear about your son's phone, it's always upsetting to hear that someone in a workplace is low enough to do something like that to a colleague, but they tend to get greedy and then (hopefully!) get caught.
Had a reasonably productive day yesterday, blitzing eldest son's bedroom, had several trips to the tip, not much too ebay tho, but still not finished so need to crack on in a while. Need to get that room finished and start on youngest one's bedroom (oh my days, that really needs a blitz, and I don't know where to start in there!). Dinner last night was smoked sausage and mushroom pasta in a creme fraiche sauce, it's absolutely delish and on the table in 30 mins start to finish. Will possibly make more HM bread today and have planned fish, chips and beans for OH and children and fish in sauce with some leftover potato with veg for me. Still being really good but don't feel like I've lost any weight this week, don't really know why as haven't had anything I shouldn't and have been reasonably busy - will just have to wait until Friday's trip to the scales! Have lost 6lb towards the stone I want to lose before Xmas so need to keep going as Xmas is not so far away now.....!
Need to sign off now and get some coffee, breakfast and a shower.
Keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Morning all.
Hester, I don't know the back story about your DH, but it sounds like an injustice has been done and I hate injustice.
N9eave, my DD has just bought a touch screen phone out of her savings and is made up with it. Definitely get the sim blocked, although anyone scummy enough to nick it will just get a sim for a quid and pay a fiver to get it unlocked. Worth checking if it is covered on household insurance though.
Today's jobs are crisis clean the kitchen, collect DD's new glasses, send the cheque for her new violin off special delivery (so the poor man has some hope of his money this side of Christmas!) and probably more too when I stop to think. On the work side, the wages are all paid - need to send an application form etc. off to a potential new member of staff.
May try to see the Michael Jackson film if it's not totally booked up - Orange Wednesday of course!
Dinner is going to be tacos - special request from DD as she loves them! I'll have mine without the shell as I'm doing the South Beach diet and taco shells are a big no-no!
See y'all later.0 -
Morning all,
Bit dull here today weather wise, have got a load in the wm, not sure if it will dry today.
DD is still in bed, will get her up at 9, she has the dentist today for a filling, and we need to pop into the charity shops to assemble a halloween costume for her.
Then its back to start on the great de-clutter and clean of my bedroom, hopefully it wont be as bad as dd's
Dinner tonight will be the salmon bumped from last night, I also have a sainsbugs delivery coming tonight, with all the extra bits I need to make green tomato chutney, I have a load of green toms left on my plants, and need to use them up.
Hester, poor hubby must be feeling so down, its just not right
Jayne and George, hugs to you both.
Have good days all xx0 -
:TMorning all
Hubby came home earlier than expected yesterday which was fab fab fab, esp as DD woke from her nap in loads of pain with her teeth, but also famished. Tea time was definately a team effort, bless her:rolleyes: Still the food and the calpol did its job and she was a much happier bunny.
Today is a catch up-ish on all I have missed. Need to hoover after friend yesterday let her son stomp all over the carpet in mud filled shoes. He was also jumping on the sofa (barefoot this time though) with her right there - I don't let DD do that, so should I have told him not too, in front of his mum? WM on again, such a homely sound
Trying to cook some chicken and veg in slow cooker today. Hubby says all the food that comes out of the SC tastes the same, so I'm practicing!
mioliere - the renovations will be worth it - we moved to our house, decided the whole thing needed renovating, floors, roofs, joists, wiring, plumbing, walls, new kitchen, new bathroom etc etc. 6 weeks later got pg,:p and it was all finished by the time DD arrived. It was a horrible 9 months, but so so so so so worth it, I have the kitchen and bathroom of my dreams and my hubby back (he did most of the work at evenings and weekends). Hang in there!
Enjoy your days lovely people!0 -

Most definitely usually my comment is something like, Stop that now, you may do it at your house, but not at MY house. A simple rule is all kids take shoes off at door re the mud, most kids have to at home, and whenever kids came with DS they saw him take his off and followed suit. Friend or not they are not damaging my home.
Morning everyone
Woke up to cloud this morning the sun is just getting out now, 23 deg. sun will reduce the humity which was 80% thi morning.
Had roast chicken with jacket spuds and peas for tea last night.
DH just helping a friend lift a heavy piece of his BBQ down to repair it, and I will dry my hair in a mo.
Take care - DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Morning all:wave:
OH is on holiday for the rest of the week, so a relaxing few days ahead for us all:j
I'm off to pick up my meat from the butcher soon, must grab a sack of spuds too while I'm out.
Breakfast has been toast and jam/marmalade although dd had a leftover onion bhaji too:p
Lunch will be leftover salmon chowder and bread.
Supper will be gammon and pineapple with hm oven fries, peas and coleslaw (I wish I could get the hang of making small quantities of coleslaw:rolleyes:). I might make a jelly with fruit in it for the kids.0 -
Morning everyone :hello:
Having a busy morning but despite sleeping in which meant the children missed the school bus, I have been at the beach with the dog for an hour. It's a beautiful morning and the views out to the Inner Hebrides are amazing. Complete with picture perfect rainbow.
Beds are made, washing hung out and kitchen swished. Just about to head into the office for a couple of hours and have a guest for dinner this evening so have to prepare slow roasted pork shoulder, roasted carrots, parsnips, HG cabbage and cauliflower cheese with yorkies.
Have lovely days everyone

Morning all,
Not much OSiness to report today as we're moving tomorrow!!! :j Have to pack up my kitchen tonight so we'll probably get a take away to make life easier. Have also got my Dad coming over this evening to dismantle our wardrobe ready to go into storage for a wee while, so need to make sure I don't pack all the mugs away as he may go on strike if I don't provide a constant stream of tea :rotfl:bless him.
Have my appraisal at work today so have to put on my work head for an hour. Fortunately, my boss is quite down to earth so I doubt he'll mark me down for being a bit disillusioned with our workplace at present. A long story, but basically they're very ingrained in their old processes and I'm just banging my head against a brick wall everytime I try and introduce a slicker way of doing things. (I think my boss has this problem with them too) But a job's a job in this climate...
Anyway, must crack on wish me luck for a 2.5% pay rise
Hugs to all xxSometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,
What you've been out there searching for forever is in your hands0
