Hi again all,
Just remembered I had a couple of pms to reply to so logged back on. I slept appalling this morning when I went back to bed. My head wouldn't stop spinning and I kept waking up.
Have sat and made a couple of muslin squares out of the enormous baby muslims I bought a while ago and am watching this sad movie. Feels naughty having the TV on at this time and the movie is just making me cry so no idea why I am still watching.
Just killing time til we have to leave for the hospital really so should probably turn the TV off, have a good cry to get it all out of my system and then slap on the warpaint and the big smile!
Honestly, I am such a wuss when I am tired..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Afternoon all - been MIA for a few days but have been trying to keep up with all the news
Hugs Hester, Jayne and George and anyone else who needs one
Had a wonderful long weekend with Mr Beard and we've decided that we'd really like to make a go of it :eek::eek: - been on my own for ever such a long time and we're both SPs so it's going to have to be softly softly for a bit.
On the downside - boiler has packed upengineer came round sat, part ordered on same day, expected today - phoned them up only to hear that the engineer went sick and that the part hadn't been ordered at all. Not sure if I'm going to get it fixed this week at all now
They dropped a fan heater over but am a bit bored with boiling kettles to wash up.
Tea tonight will be meat loaf
Have good days everyone
StefI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -

Welcome to our new posters :hello:
(((HUGS))) to all in need of some!
ETA: Great news Stef! :j (Ooops, just read the rest of your post. I meant great news about Mr Beard, not the boiler, obviously!)
Sorry, I know there are loads of folk I haven't mentioned but i do think of you all!
I didn't post yesterday as, the evening before, I decided to make spag bol and got DH to open a bottle of red wine so i could deglaze the pan (as per HFW) so it seemed a shame not to drink some of it. I had 2 1/2 large glasses, and my M.E. didn't like it at all - no hangover as such, but very shaky y'day and lost my balance a few timesI think I'll lay in a small stock of the little bottles and then I should be able to drink what's left over without worrying.....
Today I seem to be going down with a cold and am very achy so have had some Co-Codamol. Have got 3 loads of washing done at any rate, though having to use the TD.
Dinner tonight is Pork with Olives, or as the label says, "Not much pork, lots of olives"with mash and cabbage. DH gets DLA LR Care because he can't cook a main meal, but I said today that I think he should learn to cook a meal very occasionally, as i'm a bit worried how we'd manage if i was unable to cook for any length of time, or how he'd cope if anything happened to me! Mind you, the other night we ate a couple of Asda low-fat ready meals i'd got in as something quick for DS to heat up after college, but he didn't eat them, so we had them and to our surprise they were really nice
I do tend now to cook a double amount and freeze half, though I can't do the large amounts of batch cooking some of you do, as our cooker and freezer aren't big enough and I'd probably get too tired anyway
Must definitely do plenty of hoovering tomorrow as a doctor is coming to examine DH on Friday on behalf of War Pensions to see if DH may be entitled to a higher amount. Also have to make sure there's plenty of room on the table for him to write his notes - atm it's got all sorts of stuff on it and is definitely a Flylady "hot spot" as it gets cluttered as fast as I clear it!
Take care all xx0 -

:T:T:j yay good for you and Mr Beard, fab news, I was a sp for years and years before I met my OH, so I know what you are going through, softly softly is the best way, but I am sooooo pleased for you xxx
Bargainbird, hope all goes well for you tomorow xx
Diva, good luck at the hospital.
DD and I have decluttered my bedroom, we are getting there now, thats the attic, shed dd's room and my room and garden done, lounge is not bad at all, so will do that and the hallway and kitchen next week.
Going to start packing a few bits from now on, just stuff we wont need, books, summer clothes etc.
Dinner is in the oven, dd has mac cheese, and we have salmon, both with brocoli and peas with new pots for us, I also made a sauce for the salmon with creme fraiche, garlic and wine, so looking forward to that.
Have good evenings all xx0 -
Afternoon.
Been busy but still don't feel like I achieved much
Went shopping, picked up a kids game from someone from Freegle (why has it changed it's name?), gone for a walk with the kids and sat cutting out cardboard pumpkin shapes for our craft activity on Friday with DS and mindee. Turned out rather well I think
Kids are currently alternating between whinging and running about like loons - I definately need a beer
Think we're going to have baked spuds for tea - whenever H gets home. He's text to say there are massive queues coming out of Brum city centreBet he's wishing he'd gone in on his bike now.......
NPM - you are having a bad run of it lately aren't you ((hug)) Hope Noah is feeling better and that you all have a decent night's sleep tonight.
BB- 6 days not smoking - now that is fab :T Well done you
Stefejb - wish you all the best with Mr Beard x
Diva - hope your appointment goes OK
Right better head off and put the spuds on. Yes sacriligious (sp?) as it sounds I do them in the micro - I can't be bothered using the oven......I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Evening all,
Will post first then read thread so apoligies if I've missed anything.
My back is still killing me today, I'm walking like I'm Quasimodo! :rotfl:I'm feeling very sorry for myself and very naughtily bought a frozen pizza from Tesco for dinner because I just wanted comfort fodo (however it has a money back guarantee so if I send it off then it won't cost me anything!) Going to curl up on sofa now for rest of evening.
On the work front only half the kids on my course turned up today  I think this was because we were doing a market stall selling bric a brac in the town centre. They all said it would be 'shaming' to be seen in town! It's their loss, and the missing 6 will all get warnings. 3 warnings and they get sacked so hopefully this will give the a kick up the behind to get with it! On the plus side, the 6 that were in worked blooming hard and raised a fantastic £160so I'm very proud of them.
Absolutely nothing OS done/planned for today!
Have good evening

Odd sort of day today .Got to Bluewater o.k. and met my friend we had a lovely lunch in Leons, then wandered round to buy the ticket for the cinema and although she had looked it up on the net the movie we were going to see had the time altered to 16.25.no good for me as I would have missed my bus back to Rainham( take the bus there & back as its free with my bus pass)
Plus we had queued for about 15 minutes before we got to the desk. Apparently it had been changed last night because of the Michael Jackson film being released(no doubt to capture the half-term trade, O cynical me)plus animated films and horror movies none of which we fancied. So we just did a bit of shopping and then just had to visit Krispy Kreme's for a coffee and doughnut.Still got the early bus back and on the mat was a cheque from macmillan trust to help with some treatment that my local PCT won't fund.If I lived 4 miles down the road it would be paid for.Its called manual lymphatic drainage, which is a system with drains of the lymphatic fluid that gathers in my right arm because when I had my mastectomy I also had most of the lymph nodes removed from under my right arm.Hopefully it will make my right arm more mobile, and a lot smaller. At the moment it is 33% larger than my left arm and very uncomfortable. So fingers crossed that I can get the specialist recommended by the local Breast care nurse. Its £45 per session for three weeks with at least one session every month afterwards. My youngest DD is going to come with me and watch how its done as the BCN said it is possible to learn to do it with a bit of practice. So today finished on a higher note.
Eldest DD has just rung to say the DGS who has been working for Endamol in Shepards Bush has an interview next week for a possible permanant job.Today is just getting beeter and better.
Right I'm off to think of what I can do with 8 small plum tomatoes that must be used up and two chicken breasts that I defrosted this morning .Any ideas ?.Isn't there a site where you can just bung in what you've got, and it gives you a receipe ??
cheers chums

Jackie you can try the Love Food Hate Waste website.....personally I'd just blitz them, saute some garlic and onion and bung it all over the chicken and cook.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Right, just popped back on to give an update for my day (as it was soooo rushed this morning). I'm trying to get back into the habit of eating breakfast, so managed to grab a couple of those wheat biscuitty things at work. Thankfully, I've not been snacking, and made it through til the sausage roll at lunchtime. I bought some of those lovely fruit and veg offers that Mr M has got on at the moment. Got kiwis, apples, a bag of baking potatoes and a bag of carrots for £1.40
*happydances* That made my day, along with some RTC mozzarella for pizzas of the future.
Tonight, I've done a bit of exercise on the Wii and am now relaxing with a sore arm from doing boxing. Have had a nice hot bath and in a moment I am going to make a start on altering a piece of clothing to make a sorceress/vampire outfit for my work's Halloween/Children in Need fundraiser on FridayThere's a fancy dress competition, and I'm going to embroider something I've already got with spiderwebs in silver thread to make it rather special. Here's hoping!
Tea was an omelette, and so far I'm doing better at not eating between mealsHere's to it continuing.
(((hugs))) to those that have had rubbish days, or just need one. I'm feeling a bit better than I was on Sunday, which is a blessed relief. Take care, everyone
