Just seen the new Super 6 in today's Mail on Sunday - runs to get paper - Little Gem lettuce, radishes, 3 lemons, cucumber, 6 tomatoes, cabbage, all 39p each.

Pity they not doing peppers as well, I could make some Gazpacho if they were. Ingredients include cucumber, tomatoes, peppers, etc.

Green peppers bumped from Basics bag so five or six orange/yellow/red peppers for £1.32 in Sainsbury's just now.]

I'm reading on mySupermarket Sainsbury's Basics Peppers (600g) are £1.25 (£2.08/Kg).

Thanks for pointing this out. May take a trip round to Sainsbury's some time this week.

I use these they are quite good - often predominantly red/yellow rather than green

Preferably red and green in Gazpacho though it doesn't really matter, have even used orange in the past too. The tomato in the Gazpacho makes up for the lack of red when there's no red peppers to add to it anyway.

Aah, summer is here at last! Mmmm Gazpacho!

Mustn't forget to get some garlic too. My colleagues and clients are going to hate me!
