Won't be bothering with that lot - very disappointed to not see fruit again.
Other than the chilli, cucumber, lime and tomato, that is. Colour me confused.

Never really got the hang of rhubarb....is there any way of cooking it that doesn't involve a stack of sugar? :D

Yes. Add it to savoury dish near end, no need for separate sugar.

And the sugar in the crumble's crumble is enough - no need for it in the rhubarb layer (technically that does involve sugar - but not as much or as sweet as you think).

Growing our own so you can pick it when ripe also helps.

Yes you usually want a complementary ingredient and texture to counter the sourness but there is no need to double-dose the sugar.

I use artificial sweetener with mine and it tastes the same as sugar. Only one pack left last night :(, about to stew it and have with Greek yogurt for brekkie :T.

noticed home bargains selling packs of truvia (stevia leaf) sweetener which is really expensive normally but by far the best sweetener imho
as a) natural not chemical and b) tastes more like the real thing.
I would add this near the end of cooking the rhubarb. HTH

in a word no....imo... might be worth trying sweetener i think you can put in a bit of bicarb like they did in the war so used less sugar
