The brocolli is really nice and a lot cheaper than the other big four supermarkets.I shall but some little gem lettuces as they keep well in the fridge wraped in foil.The carrots look good value as well as they are 89p a kilo locally to me in the g'grocers.

I think Sainsbury's are fighting back! After my Aldi shop this morning I went over to Sainsbury's to get some extra bits and, at the end of the fruit and veg aisle, facing the door, is a selection of 69p special offers! And most of them are replicas of Aldi's new 59p offers! I noticed carrots, celery, little gem lettuce and onions (though not red)!!

I'll find out later and hopefully others will report back from their locals.

What I find is that the BIG 4 will generally reduce their unsold stock of higher priced offers (of super 6) on end of display date, so keep an eye out for yellow sticker/whoopsied stuff elsewhere.
I want some leeks also, been avoiding them for some reason fro a while. Great base for soups and casseroles etc.

I got one this morning and it's quite a decent size! Not the biggest I have seen but, there again, it's not tiny!

Afterthought! :-
Forgot to add that the Super 6 price of 59p was crossed out at my store (Keighley) and changed to 49p. Don't know the reason for that as the store was busy and the Super 6 were selling like hot cakes. Don't know if store specific or all stores.
