    hi the iceberg lettuces were 10p in our store yesterday so i think they had over ordered...i got 2 and plan a fair bit of salad this week...shame we havent got a bunny

    please read post below and dont give to bunnies

    To anyone out there with a bunny, iceburg lettuce is the absolute worst thing you could give them barring poisonous plants. It has far too much water in it for their little systems to handle and it can kill bunnies. With that being said, other greens, when given in small quantities, are wonderful for bunnies. Ours love kale, rocket, leaf lettuce, and will nibble on spinach.

    Not trying to down you tb, just don't want any bunnies out there to get hurt!

    ahh well i live and learn....i would delete the post but as u have quoted it thats a bit of a waste of time....anyone with bunnies dont give them icebergs:cool:

    I have never heard this before and I kept bunnies for years I used to grow iceland on the lottie to feed them, never killed one. but must admit they might have peed more than usual.

    Street markets should be very cheap on Iceberg at moment as wholesale market prices are only £1-80 for count 12's.

    RSPCA states that rabbits shouldnt be given iceberg ( leads to "digestive upsets" )

    Plain chocolate for the neighbour's chihuahuas. Lettuce for their children's rabbits. Now if I can only find an "accidental" poison for the other neighbour's cats...
