    Morning!

Great news about the house Lara! How exciting!

How’s your grand-daughter doing ROTE? How old is she now? More importantly, are you getting her one of those cute Christmas pudding baby suits to wear on Christmas day?!

Are you feeling better today Dinah? Have you sent NIM in to your work to apologise?!

Thanks she is doing really well, we like her a lot. DD has bought her a female Santa suit. I will post a picture and a picture of the quilt when I get it finished. She has had the all clean about her hips so the brace seems to have dine the trick.

She has recently started clapping and waving which is rather early as she is not eight months until the 10th. OH is loving the fact that we have them back while they get their house cleaned and sorted.

  • Dinah, on the car front have you looked at the new Kia Ceed, it comes with a 7 year warrenty and £35 tax does loads of miles to the gallon. I know it doesn't have the qudious (sp?) of the golf or Audi but is a sensible choice. Since having mine I've been amazed how many people have said 'oh wow you've got a Ceed I've been reading all about those'. The performance is suprising good on the diesel too.

Although looking at your wedding ring choices I get the feeling at heart you are really a bling, name person rather than the saver you think you should be:rotfl:

Ah reading that it sounds bad, its not supose to I just laugh out loud sometimes reading your diary with you pulling yourself in all directions swinging from Ms sensisble to ah Ms Blow it!

I love catching up with diary and although I havn't posted much lately I have been reading.

Lol if I have it I'd rather get what I want than cut back, but if I don't have it it doesn't really phase me if that makes sense?! A lad at work just got a Ceed, his words were 'its the most sensible choice but no one is ever going to dream of owning one'! Besides which, we're not after a new car, I refuse to buy a car in the first three years because of the massive depreciation (see, I am a MSE!), we're after a 3-5 year old used one, and the Ceed wasn't about then.

    Very good start!

Can't stop house thoughts swimming in my head. For example, I had forgotten to take into account the costs of the mortgage on our savings! We'd be about £3-£4000 short for the wedding if we get this house now, thats a lot of challenge for me at the same time as the wedding. I think we need to try to find areas to save in.

We've also now left the church we were attending, we just weren't happy with how controlling it seemed, and we were at odds with a lot of things they believed. So now I might need to pay for make-up too as the girl who had offered to do it free might not stay in touch (she's also supposed to be a bridesmaid, will just see how that goes).
