  • Hi all,

Well back from Oz yesterday and have been wide awake since 4am!!!

Had a brill time in Australia and got to do loads including heading up the central coast from Sydney (to a house with a hot tub - which I couldn't use ) for a few days and also going to Melbourne for 2 days. My nephew is absolutely gorgeous and his christening went very well. Myself and OH were very proud to be godparents. We also got to see 2 sets of friends new babies so that was lovely too. I never stopped though until the last 2 days and was fairly tired by the time we left! My SIL's family gave us loads of baby presents which was really nice and as usual they made us feel very welcome.

We stopped off at Abu Dhabi on the way back and stayed at the Shangri La - which was very plush icon_smile.gif I would say it rivalled the hotel we went to on honeymoon it was that nice.

The flight wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be but I am glad I won't be doing it for another few years!

Hope everyone is well. Too many pages to catch up on but skimmed a few to get the general gist of things. What is happening with your house offer Dinah?

Glad you had a great time CMD :)

Absolutely nothing is happening with the offer! NIM is calling his dad to discuss this evening.

I'm going to set myself a few annual goals. And then impliment a medal type system. So for example one of my goals is going to be related to the 30 before I'm 30 challenge, and another is going to be related to Cinnys voucher challenge. If anyone wants to join me they're welcome to, I'll put a post at the start of the thread with everyones personal challenges. The point of this is setting realistic levels for yourself. So for me that might mean £350 for the bronze amazon vouchers, £500 for the silver, and £1000 for the gold. Giving myself an achievable target, a reasonable target, and a push the boat out target. However for someone else they might want to go for £50/£100/£150. or someone like Cinny might go for STP on £200/£300/£500, whereas I'd never be able to do that much, its about setting targets that are relevant for you. I'm thinking of setting myself 5 challenges for the year.... I just need to work out what those are!

  • Well the Project 365 I'm definitely going to do starting Jan 1st, I think it'll be brilliant to look back on at the end of the year. But thinking of doing a spends type diary on here, I'm wanting to work out where my money goes so I can work out how much rent I'll be able to afford next year, if you see what I mean.

ETA - lucky you is it payday? Mine's tomorrow :D
