It doesn't wreck anything! If the lender increases the APR you have a right to pay the debt at the same rate and same frequency at no detriment to yourself (but cannot use the account until the debt is repaid in full).

Otherwise, all CC's could if they wanted to boost profits just go around adding 10% to every card holder knowing we're screwed couldn't they? If you're unsure of something best check with one of us in the know prior to scaring people away with irrelevant nonsense.... your silly sig says it all....

  • Don't start that nonsense again! Its not wriggling out of anything as i've told you on numerous occasions now. If you do not know the law then please shut up - do us a favour!

:TI am not looking to start a row I just wondered if the op intended to pay back the debt or was going to try and get it written off.

I am intitled my opinion much as you yours!

So don't tell me to shut up you

    Update:
Received cap1's responce to my cca request and it's just a thank you bla bla bla with a blank credit agreement on the reverse.

I guess I just sit back and wait for the court threats in-order to cpr them.

    Any thoughts.

Nope, you simply send off the Dispute letter/s.10 letter found on page 1 here: Unenforceability & Template Letters

However, you're right that you should ignore them - don't worry about utilising cpr31.16 - thats more of a blind threat unless they start being clever with you of course :D
