    Wow...

Here's a link to the auction itself.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6825578528&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26satitle%3D6825578528%26fvi%3D1

Definitely a genuine auction and scammer. The blog's now had over 54k hits!

Apparently, The Sun is going to interview the guy who bought the laptop now, as a result of this blog. Read the comments. They really are hilarious...

Look at the only positive he has had - nicktofang - must be his brother or a family member of some sort!

I must say, this has got to be the most successful way to lynch an ebay scammer that I've ever seen! That hits counter is whizzing up really fast. Judging by the comments, it's also been posted on various sites around the world. I swear that hits counter has gone up by 10K hits in an hour...

The bloke who bought the laptop has now been interviewed by The Sun (according to the comments), so keep an eye out in tomorrow's paper!

Of course, it would be wonderful if it's just a great big scam of its own.

Make up the spoof site, get a bunch of your friends to seed a few forums, and it could take off like a rocket. I've mentioned it in a couple of other forums myself.

There's now a very low key request for donations there and even if only 1 person in 100 gives him 50p, he'll be quids in.

    Same here! :embarasse

If it's genuine then :T to the buyer for getting his own back on the scammer.

Anyway, do you think this is real? If he really wanted to get his own back, surely he would have mentioned the seller's ID. Also, would you pay £375 to somebody who only has 50% feedback??

I truely hope this is genuine. Amir will get his Karma!

There is a book entitled. "Dear Valued Customer You are a loser" It's written by an american and is a load of short and true stories about how technology has made seemingly small situation mushroom. If you can get it it's wel worth a read.

There are a couple of stories of how websites have been set up to name and shame organisations - one being a hotel that failed to keep rooms that had been reserved. Apparently this mushroomed to such an extent that the two chaps that started it became quite famous.

I really hope this goes the same way. There's nothing like shaming con artists who rely on keeping their credibility by remaining anonomous. Hopefully he will have no friends, no life and no reason to exist before too long!
