Gemmzie - not a new fella as such but a date tonight. He seems really nice, very keen. I am swinging between 'quite excited' and 'heart not really in it', but overall I'm looking forward to it, I think!

Yes, I've now looked at Thorntons, and maybe the homemade option is best!!

I read groundnut oil should do the trick, and that Asda smartprice choc is pretty good, but I'm sure Sainsbury' or tesco's will do too! I will have to have a practice this weekend, as it seems a shame to waste a potentially very useful bit of kit!!

Supermarket choc is all the same give or take a few callories/% of ingredients. Let us know how you get on :T And remember once the fountain is finshed with keep the left over chocolate because it can be used again or in baking, see here :j

Woo hoo! I may well have to get researching on this quite soon!! Thanks again for your assistance!

Well, OH has been at the job centre for an hour - does anyone have any idea how long the first interviews last? I hope to hear from him very soon and then I can go and meet him in town and find out the, hopefully good, news!

  • Hi everyone, hope you're all ok? Got the Monday blues, plus it doesn't help that one minute I'm roasting and then I'm freezing cold.

LouiseJ, I second toto about not going for veneers - they're a pain in the behind!

I had mine fitted about 6 years ago as my front teeth were manky. To cut a long story short I had a phobia of brushing my teeth when I was younger!

Since I've had them fitted they've chipped on several occasions - once whilst flossing and have fallen out!! I've since been told by a dentist that replacing the veneers isn't viable due to too much of my original teeth being taken away. So my options are now either bridges or false teeth! No way am I having false teeth at 28!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

I also had some gold crowns fitted too - and they've caused my gums no end of problems.

    Moan over!

Snaggs good luck with the date tonight.

Hugs for everyone else who's feeling a tad sad or lonely!

Still no one has come in today, what a waste of time. I'm reading the County's OFSTED report, not good at all, made national news *shakes head*

Snags, it's a fun night out if nothing else!

Yes, I think it will be fun Gemz...he's a nice guy. Although I don't know him at all, my best friend almost dated him last year, and he is friends with someone I used to work with, so he's not a complete 'random'.

I've got to the bottom of my worries about him having a drink problem, and I'm fairly confident he was just being laddish and trying to impress me with tales of excess now.

He works in debt collection though...... :o (although more of a credit controller than an actual debt collector).
