    Morning all

Typically even though I'm off work today I woke up early (not a great night anyway thanks to DH snoring after too much beer last night!). My dad and his OH are visiting at the moment - they're staying in a hotel nearby, so I'm going out with them today, think we're going to catch the train down to Brighton. I'm catching up on 'Emma' which I've got recorded on the sky box.

Need to do lots of flying here but it will be this weekend. On top of the lists I need to:

    renew library book
send new home card to friend
    wax coffee table
complain again about royal mail (putting recorded delivery item in our bin!)

right, I need another cuppa and to eat my breakfast! Eyebrow shape at 9.30.

House is now one huge hotspot.

    Plan for today:
    Go Bowling
    Take recycling to the dump
    Pay for firework display
    Visit Lidl
Visit Farm shop for sack of potatoes
    Online meat order
    Littlewords order
    check bank accounts online
    Put up Halloween decorations
    DS3 trumpet practise

    If time:
    Post parcel
    Visit 3 banks
Sort out bed nearest house and plant out plants

    Cuppa, shower and S&S next
DS2 sent to strip a bed
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair

OK - I need to sit down and read through this whole list. Redundant after today, desperately job-searching but I shall have to get this house tidy and much cleaner once and for all as I've used my work as an excuse for the past 11 months and DH wants people round!

Perhaps if I read it over the weekend I'll be ready to give it a go next week?

    Flog it...

Dreamy - how did you manage to do Friday's list within 7 minutes of it being posted?

Valli -- I understand you getting a Friday star because you said you'd done it in the week. Oh and Sooty? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Orkney - your 5 star [STRIKE]excuse[/STRIKE] reasoning is fine

Lilme - hugs hope you all get better soon

My bedding is in the washing machine already and should be finished in time to hang on the line before I go to work. I normally do it on a saturday but the weather's a bit pants for tomorrow so I was good I was....

Must try and do enough to get more stars myself this afternoon.

Jinky - how exciting to have a moving in date

    Good morning!

May I join you? I can't believe that I've been an MSE member for over a year and not discovered you ladies!

I'm a "retired" franticly flapping flybaby (of many years standing, but still bumping along the ground and then buzzing around on my back) - but I've just gone back to work (again) - we moved just over a year ago and I still have a garage full of boxes that haven't been looked at yet, rooms that still need to be decorated ....you get the picture.

I've discovered that when I'm at home all day, my time sort of disappears like a pint of spilt milk ....all over the place. I'm better with the discipline of a couple of days work - and I need a kick in the butt to get me going.

:hello:Hi to our newbies and welcome! Pop back to page one where you'll find all the details you need. Why not try a Level One for today's room, and maybe add on a decluttering mission? That'll give you a head start for next week!

I'm going to do my planning until ten, then hopefully it'll be nearly finished. The shopping is due then, and I'll do the bathroom and a bit of gardening.

Welcome Thorsoak - have a read this weekend and join in next week.

Ugggg! I think I'm going to find the black wig and sunglasses to wear today. ANOTHER news story has just been posted up for which I expect I'll get lots of flak - hey ho.
