You might want to consider blackberry 8520 - similar type of phone but comes cheaper (on buymobilephones.net on Orange, T-mobile).

If you decide on e71 with 3, its worth doing a web chat with the online help system on the 3 web site - you can ask for a quote that you want the e71 on 18 months, not 24 months - might get some cheaper offering plus they give you £20 accessory voucher when you finish the web chat to use on the order.

Thanks for the advice above. I've ordered the phone (e71) already, but I'll try phoning them anyway during the 14 day cooling off period and tell them I want to cancel due to the 24 month contract...might knock it down to 18 months.

Be aware I think you will not be able to return the phone if it used in any way.
