Advice needed..Nokia E63, (unltd web/texts/200 x net £15.30 per month

Options
Complete newbie to mobile contracts..would appreciate any advice.

The above deal is through Three, and with cashback from quidco works out at £15.30 per month, which includes nokia N63, unlimited texts, email, 200 x-net minutes and £20 of free accessories.

I will be using the phone for work related emails, surfing and the occasional calls. For £22 per month the x-net calls gets bumped up to 500 mins. Is this better value?

Considering they offer that deal with 75 mins without quidco for £15 I'd say it's pretty decent - thinking about going for it myself when my contract is due for renewal.

Just as long as you're aware of the usual caveats with Three (don't expect customer service, etc)

Cheers...do you think it's worth paying the extra £7 a month for the extra 300 minutes?

Are they notoriously bad for customer service then? Suppose it's not really a problem unless something goes wrong!

Indian based call centres and there's so many bad reports. I guess people don't post reviews and ask for advice on forums when everything's going well though!

The E63 was going for £15 a month with Three only a few months ago, now its £18.

As a phone the E63 apparently is not as good as the E71 which costs more or the E72 (think there is a E72). Primarly down to hi speed internet not being available on e63 I think.

Oooer I just looked at Three site, the offering for E63 at £15 a month is back - so with quidco it should be less.

But still that particular model is not as good as the other nokias.

Would the wifi availabilty on the e63 get round this?

Any opinions on the following handsets...would mainly be used for surfing and emails

The wifi is only free if you are at home with your own internet connection.
Out of home, not sure you will find many free wifi hotspots.

The Nokia 5800, E71 would be my choices for now given the range Three have.
    Or Sony C510

Mind you if you are only interested emails, might as well go for E63 (not saying its bad, its just a lower spec than e71).

Yes, seems to get good reviews on other sites...basically a lower spec (and cheaper) version of the e71.

Think i'll just go for the e63...cheers

Doh! I've just noticed the e71 is available on the slightly higher priced plan:T So, would be £22 a month for e71, unlimted web/text and 500 cross net calls. Sold!

The e71 is a class phone and after owning one for a year I can definitely recommend. The e63 looks a good phone but also doesn't have GPS and the casing is plastic whereas the e71 is steel.
3 are phasing the e63 out 'quite soon' so ask your self if you are happy to be in a 2 year contract paying a total of £600. Yes you should get some Quidco money so that will help.
Also the e72 is due out very soon, and Vodaphone mentioned to me that it should be available 12th November, but I'm not sure if/when it's available from 3. The e72 will have a 5mp camera and a 600mhz ARM (Acorn!) processor plus a 3.5mm headphone socket compared to the e71's 3.2mp camera, 369mhz processor and 2mm headphone socket. As for free Wi-Fi it all depends on where you are, cities have plenty.
The e63, e71 and e72 have their own plus points and not many minus...
