EasyJet - Hand luggage too big at the gate?

I see you got back from your holiday Okay, but thought I would add my own story...
Flew from Gatwick to Madrid with Easyjet last week and looked online, measured my bag and it was the right dimensions, checked before going through security and was happy.
Got to the gate, and the gate agents were making the first few passengers measyre their bags in the orange cage, well the first two didnt fit, because they wanted them in sideways! Not the way I had measured and my heart started going a bit...
Luckily they were so distracted by the two passengers, one who was really kicking off, that i just slipepd on through! On the way back from Madrid they got the orange cage out, but they didnt measure any thankfully.
So just be very careful when flying Easyjet out of LGW i say!0 -
