you need to replace USER_NAME with your actual username (the name shown at the top of the start menu by your picture.

The problem is not with Windows 7. It is the Digital River download facility that's pants!

its saying something isnt where it should be...

for that command to work the expanded setup folder must be on the desktop

if it isnt it wont work

oh you have actually run the unzipper?.... so it creates the expanded setup folder

if not it wont do anything.

Now its showing the following message:-

ERROR: Unable to create file "C:\7.iso" of 2520907776 bytes

Any idea access is denied now? I have full rights on my PC.

I think it worked now. It's saved the ISO file in a zip folder on my C drive.

Hopefully it should work when I copy it to DVD.

    Thanks

that error message looks like it would relate to not running the command window as administrator

if its done it should show the iso on your desktop, in which case burn it asap and you can use this to boot and reinstall windows, see what i had to figure out to install win 7 now? lol

I can't help with the problem itself, but can post this article link

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/10/26/microsoft_windows_7_digital_river_headache/

It does contain a link to something on Microsoft's forums.
