Tesco Opticians

I had my eyes tested @ a Tesco's opticans and ordered three pairs of glasses buy one get on free and another for reading.
The three came back two days after having my eyes tested, but as soon as I put them on they did not seem right at all. So badly in fact that I was sick. And it always caused headaches and eye pain. After two days I went back to them and they ordered a retest.
The optician did a quick retest and said that he would lower the prescription but by not much, so they re-glazed just one pair, and I would have to try them and if they were okay they would re-glaze the other two pairs. Fair enough.
I had to wait nearly three weeks for the re-glazed pair to come back and I collected them last week. Had to take them back the next day as they were so badly out of shape. Never seen glasses like it. Even now they are uncomfortable.
They don't seem bothered with after care and fitting glasses etc.
Even though the lenses have been changed I'm still getting the same problem. They just don't seem right. I am constantly lifting them up and down trying to get a good focal point. Its really hard to explain. I cannot look left without distortion, very nauseating.
I know glasses take a while to get used to but I can't keep these on long enough to get used to them. When I collected them after the reglaze I told the optical person the problems that I had only to be told, its because the eye is relaxing hence the headaches and eye pain. Never heard that before!
I am getting really fed up as I paid nearly £200 for them and can't wear them. I know if I take them back the optican is going to get stroppy with me as he was slightly off handed at the second retest.
Can I demand my money back? As I'm not happy with them, even after a retest and a reglaze. I am out of the 28 day thing now as I had to wait three weeks for the reglaze to come back (convienient or what?). But surely that was out of my control. I am hoping that I can get something back as I can't afford to go anywhere esle at the moment.
Any advice anyone.

jd64 - only a suggestion as I don't know correct procedure to follow but you could try nipping into a Boots that has an opticians and ask them to check your prescription for glasses against the actual glasses themselves and see what they say (suggestion as boots optician near me is really helpful)0

having a similar problem with tesco opticians which is actually a company called Galaxy. Had 3 retests, new frames as they said the frames were not correct. Noow having to have lenses updated to 'made for you lenses' which I have not heard of before. Suggest ringing customer services and they will forward your complaint to the optical firm Galaxy.Customer Services 0800 5055550
