Morning everyone.
Veeeeeeeeery wet here, light drizzly rain. B*ggerI really wanted to get out into the garden and rake up the endless supply of twigs and leaves from our oak trees.
Just scoffed a cooked breakfast courtesy of my mum LOL! I rang and they were going to have one which got my mouth watering so she offered to send me round with one via my dad (good job they only live round the corner!). Bless them they do spoil me and I can confirm that it was delish
BM and WM to go on. Downstairs looks quite nice and tidy (well as tidy as it can be with kids) but upstairs is just clutter clutter clutterOur wardrobes are rammed with stuff and it all really needs a good clear out. Ever feel like you don't know where to start though
Think will attempt HM pizza for tea - DS was asking for some after watching a little clip of someone making one on Cbeebies!
Right better get a move on, time's a-wasting!
Bargainbird - good luck with quitting smoking. My H quit about 9 years ago and has never looked back. He saw the price of ciggies the other day and couldn't believe how expensive it was!
nmlc - lucky you with the veg stall. If they did anything like that by me the price would automatically treble....
Lillibet - really hope your house completion works out. When I worked in solicitors accounts I never understood why people paid deposits with cheques. For the price of a bankers draft its much easier than using cash!
Redruby - hope DD is on the mend soon xxx
Hugs to those that need them.

Hi all,
It's tipping it down in Oxford, and I'm currently sitting on my desk watching a large group of tiny finches eating the seeds on the pine tree outside my window. There are at least three different sorts of birds, but they always all flock together and it's very cute.
I'm not feeling too well but I have a little bit of work to do here first though as the cells need feeding and splitting and I have some reactions to stop. OH had decided to eat all of the croissants I bought for breakfast today, which upset me a little bit (all six of them?!) - I'm feeling quite low at the moment so I'm trying to do little things at a time and that sort of thoughtlessness upsets me. I have asked for help with the housework, but that hasn't been forthcoming eitherthe flat is a mess. I put the laundry away yesterday, 80 % of it was OHs as he never takes clothes from the clean pile, simply gets more and more out of the wardbrobe. I don't mean to rant, but I can't cope with the mess and lack of help when I work far longer hours. I haven't asked him if he's contacted the solicitor - as I bet he wouldn't have got round to that either. He's hired a car this weekend too, heaven knows why.
Right - I must go and do some work, have a good day all, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -

Hope the meds settle soon Diva and hope your joints improve as the day goes on JackieO. x
Take it easy Lillibet and try not to get too stressed.
Hope DD improves soon Ruby. x
I'm so jealous you live so close to your family Bitsy. My Mum is no longer with us but I lived closer to my big sister I'm sure she'd bring me breakfast on a Saturday.:p
Well done on ditching the fags BB.
Last child free day today and I can't wait to get them home. :jIt's the longest I've gone without cuddles from my girls and it won't be happening again any time soon.
Sorry to all the people with rain but it's dry and bright here today.
OH and I have achieved loads though and have caught up with some friends. All the little jobs are done and today the new fireplace (old cast iron one from Freecycle) will go in.
I want to catch up in the kitchen so am making a dozen mini jellies, hm yoghurt, carrot cake, blueberry muffins and brownies for the lunch boxes. Also need to do a couple of loaves. That way, the packed lunches are organised as the girls are back to school on Monday.
The rest of the day shall mostly be spent preventing the hens digging up the garlic they discovered buried in the veg patch yesterday. Watching them race round the garden like they'd found buried treasure was hilarious. :rotfl:
Take care all. xxx0 -

I quite fancy making lunchbox jellies. Are your jellies made from gelatine and fruit juice or from packet jellies Haribo? I never have much success with powdered gelatine it never seems to dissolve completely and the leaf stuff is so expensive.
I use packet mixes but decent ones. And they have have no artificial sweeteners which means they can be hard to find. I bought these mini jelly moulds recently for lunchboxes and they turn out into great mini jellies for a quick pud.0 -

Afternoon all
We're having a lazy day here, hubby had his interview yesterday (for the job he's been doing since last Oct) not heard anything, so it's not looking good, shame as he's worked his provebials off, hoping to make a good impression. Hopefully we'll know definitely on Monday, it's horrible being in limbo.
My grievance hearing result was exactly what I wanted, so that some good news. Half term next week so I'll probably just work one day, I'll give the house a good bottoming & meet up with family/friends on the other days.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Afternoon all
Bitsy - I can't understand it either! When we heard last Monday morning that he had done this, I called the estate agent and asked him to go down the chain and get him to stop the cheque and get a banker's draft. The message came back up the chain that it would take longer to stop the cheque and get the draft!!!! As of today, we are still waiting.......
Essex - I managed to get an appt at the surgery. Blood pressure is waaaaay high. He has given me some extra BP tablets on top of my normal ones to bring it down to reasonable levels. I have now cleared the weekend and plan to do nothing except lie on the sofa with a pile of magazines and wait for SCD!
I teach cookery, but I snuck into Sainsugs and bought a couple of days worth of 'bung in the oven' meals and hoped against hope that nobody from school saw me! Sod's law states that I bumped into the Deputy Head:rotfl:Still, my health comes first right now.
DW and WM are on, but that is about it for today.
Enjoy Strictly or X-factor....
Lilli

Hello all
I am sat watching QVC as it's a candle show - it's a bit like shopping !!!!!! for me as I get to sit and drool over it all.
Not sure when the rain stopped but have been up since midday and it's crisp and clear now which is lovely. I thought I felt Ok but having now been upright for an hour or so my tummy is doing somersaults.
Bargain - well done on giving up smoking hon! Hard work but worth it.
Haribo - thank you for the pm sweetie, glad the girls are coming home soon. I have to admit I use the sachets of diet jelly. It sets really quickly and I cannot taste the difference.
Redruby - hope your daughter feels better
Diva.x
p.s. Had to stop and order something from QVC.. how naughty! To be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0
