Anybody reading this that sells mens clothes....

  • The simple truth is that there are a lot of people who try to sell clothes which are little more than rags with a bulled up description and hope to get away with it.

On that subject, there is a valid point. I've bought one or two items utterly unfit for purpose from Ebay and left negs, and if that were the only issue I doubt few would worry. However, it takes absolutely no time whatsoever to cut and paste a polite note of good feedback to indicate to your sellers they have a done a good job.

If you buy something from a shop would you go out of your way to tell them it was a good deal?
Possibly, yes. Certainly, whenever I buy anything in a shop, I always say thankyou to the cashier. It is polite to do so, and so is leaving feedback, which is, in essence, a note of thanks. It is a politeness. If such protocol disinterests, then you should have a note on your sales saying to potential buyers, please only leave me negatives as positives are not worth the bother thanks.

However, my beef with you is that you have purchased shirts clearly listed as USED and then, on your now well known seller account, resold them described as NEW. I know this for a fact, it is not hearsay. And you are not registered as a business seller on that account, thus depriving your purchasers of their consumer rights. I think, therefore, on balance, the original poster was correct in bringing your behaviour to the attention of a wider audience as it is unethical and in breach of Ebay rules and protocol.
  • Has anyone seen how many of the sellers he's purchased from are NARU? He's deliberately picking on newbie sellers and saying there items are faulty; damaged, not arriving. He's more or less blackmailing them into giving him refunds or part refunds.

He's then reselling these items that he's saying are damaged or have failed to arrive!

    He's a total scammer, he's not unlucky.

He's also selling used items as new as already pointed out above.

I've tied up numerous purchased items to items he's relisted on his selling account.

The problem, Iknowofascambuyer, is that you can't actually prove that any of these are the same items - which is why posts can be removed.

If you take designerbargainsuk at his word, and presume that he his only buying clothes for whatever reason, and that these either a) fail to arrive, or, b) turn up damaged - then surely the way to progress is to ask him to join in further investigation of the issue?

Going by what he said earlier, then he is only trying to improve others' buying experiences on eBay, and I suppose, trying to improve the selling processes of newbies. If that is the case, and even I have to admit his experiences have been extreme, then inviting him to participate in an experiment to highlight the problems seems to be the way to go?
  • Has designerbargainsuk stopped bidding?
  • He will be participating in a few experiments, he just won't know which ones!

Hope not because it will just mean he's going to start on a new account!
  • Stopped bidding around the third I think.

Thing is, when it comes to experiments, wouldn't you have much preferred to see him being interviewed by Martin ... on the telly ... and watching as he opened his rags ... really????

I have a total bee in my bonnet about buyers not leaving feedback, I think it's discourteous to say the least. It's all very well for business to say its not worth the effort but us small-time sellers need that feedback just to get on people's consideration list let alone anything else. That alone of all the pompous comments made by him wound me up the most.

I like it when buyers do leave feedback as its confirmation to me (although not ebay) that the item has been recieved and all is well.

The only time I get a peeved is when I got a neg (my first one) and the buyer never contacted me before doing so.
