cleaver - it was quite amusing when i spotted Brit's different charachters on the internet...
the same threads that he starts on here with the big red font appear on various other sites. i once googled the same post on here and it appeared on about 4 different sites. HPC.co.uk, priced.out.co.uk and a couple of others.
he's not the only poster from here that does this - there are a couple of others in this HPC cult that are so desperate to convince people not to buy property that they spend vast amounts of time posting on different sites.

Which is exactly my point. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I don't think posting the same article on various websites is an issue, especially if you passionately believe in what they say.
I would just be a bit troubled if he pretends to be a BTL landlord on one site and then slags them off on another site. The credible posters, whatever their view, tend to be the ones that are honest and you get a feeling that they 'are who they are'. If you're making up personalities as well as aliases then your view becomes rather redundant in my eyes.0 -

that's the irony of these people that continually feel the need to spread the word of the HPC religious cult.
i remember one of your first posts on this forum - you were labeled a troll because you had a realistic and sensible point of view...0 -

Do you seriously think this behaviour is confined to people of a bear persuasion? And on a scale of 1-10 (where 10 is important), how important do you think it is?0 -
It must be difficult to sleep easy if you are worried about internet users making things up, or having multiple ID's.

sleep pattern is fine. thank you very much. how's yours?
when i said a member of the HPC religious cult it does not mean that i'm talking about all posters with bearish views or persuasion. there is a world of difference.
their point of view must be very weak and desperate if people feel the the need to make things up on an internet forum...0 -

Just to answer a question you didn't ask me, it's not that important and I'm sure a few people just post randomly on forums with made up points of views / backgrounds just for entertainment.
I think one of the cool parts of this forum is that there seems to be a lot of genuine people who, in my eyes, come accross as very 'real' and with personality, so I find their point of view interesting. Unless I'm easily fooled, I think FC does work in retail and I find her views on this (and other stuff of course) really valuable. I reckon Gen really did work in the city and now lives in Aus and this carries credibility on subjects. Etc. etc. etc.
Obviously I don't really care that much, in the grand scheme of life, if someone is making stuff up on random forums. But it is nice to know so you can ensure you don't listen to them.0 -

Yes, they do resemble religious zealots..... Quite Bizarre.
HPC in particular has become far more fanatic and desperate lately, lots of really extremist tin-foil-hat threads, intermingled with "bear in despair" posts as reality hits a few, and all the while the core group implore others to "keep the faith". Although the funniest ones are from the house buyers, as they give in and buy, they seem to feel the need to apologise to their "comrades".... And then urge the rest to hold off as they think prices will still fall!!!!!! Mentalists, the lot of them!!!!!
It seems like all the sensible posters left when it became clear the crash was over, leaving only the rabid, frothing at the mouth, fringe nutters behind. It's infested with BNP supporters, Goldbugs, and the "end is nigh" crowd these days, very little discussion of house prices at all it seems....
A shame, as it used to be a half decent site with a contrarian perspective, but it's become utterly discredited due to it's insistence on promoting such extremist views.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”
