  • Hi Lynz

Haven't posted on your thread but always take time to flick through to catch up on the gossip of the day.

You are a real inspiration to not only me, but a lot of others and your ability to advise others when you are obviously not in a great place yourself is fab!

I'd phone every day to check for cancellations, maybe they'll get so hacked off with you they will bump you up the list for the peace and quiet!

I called the hospital, they have said the next available is the 1st November. But im going to call each weds morning to see if theres been any cancellations.

This is so annoying but I am trying my damndest not to let this bother me too greatly .. deep breaths, deep breath...

Ask them if they are willing to let you have last minute cancellations. We get a lot of patients who don't cancel until an hour before their tests (bl**dy irritating) and if you can offer to be there in, say, half an hour then there's a chance that they will take you up on it. I'd also call and check more often than once a week because you're unlikely to be the only person who this has happened to.

Oh, and don't fret about the actual test - I've had three now and it's no worse than a prolonged smear. I even got given a copy of a photo of my cervix after the second one - not one I'll be displaying on the mantelpiece I think!

You're obviously not a desperate celebrity. Some of them would be sending it out on Christmas cards...

i need to get a form to do the DLA appeal from the job centre, the CAB or social security office. the nearest place is the CAB but they are only open mornings, I bet ill have missed them

Ill do it tomorrow, promise :)

    hey Lynz :)
glad to see ZTD is on the case ;)
There should be specific instructions in the letter turning you down, with how to appeal against their decision.
You can do it over the phone Lynz!!! :D Now you've got 2 stalkers!:rotfl:
-and before you say it, :D you can choose the option of saying you want a decision explained - you'll get thru really quickly unlike the other sections.
    - just tell them that you want to appeal and they will send you out another kind of form. Ask the person who answers the phone for your options. There is the opportunity to ask them to reassess their decision.
    - the other phone call first thing tomorrow is to CAB or DIAL booking an appointment for the filling out of the form hun!
-If it's any easier, and as you're feeling a bit run down (or over!;) )you could print off your posts here and it would help you give dates & rough times of what happened when!;) Am I clever Tiff or what?

Ok ZTD - got to go - United Nations want my help in controlling carbon emissions ..... well all right then, I've got to go and see my Mum (similar event excitement-wise actually ;) ) so keep your eye on her - she's a slippery one this one!
Seriously, hope everyone's ok - Happy Wednesday folks x

    Well

Ive just spoken to a VERY lovely lady who is a health insurance broker. ( my mum works for bupa, who wont cover me, she knows her vai work)

Basically the top & bottom is that I will be getting a new all private health policy. it wont cover me for gynae issues for 2 years, but after that it will. And parents are paying for it. This is an absolute revelation :D I could in 2 short years, be out of the NHS and be treated somewhere decent! :j

Also they said that if I do stuff like do Alan Crr treatments, and so on I get more discounts off my premium, so will be cheaper in years to come :j

on top of all this, I also get the choice of
    a) cheap gym at 25pcm at Holmes place for 6 months
    b) £100 boots vouchers

Which shall I go for, im thinking boots vouchers :D towards my Xmas box which I havent really started properly :o cos as much as I do fancy the gym, I get the feeling that I wont get my moneys worth, if Im not well enough to walk about, treadmills probably wont be useful...

    I dunno, decisions decisions

If you think you won't use the gym there's no point paying for it, even at reduced rate. The boots vouchers would come in handy for christmas or can even be sold on ebay (for a bit less than their value) if you need the cash! :T

    Ain't parents fab???

Boots vouchers. There are ALWAYS cheap introductory gym offers, have a look for one when you have sold up and moved, close to new house!

Aww. I want to give your mum a big hug.

(Mine + dad are outside sorting my garden for winter while I am indoors with lemsip. 3 cheers for parents today!)
