    Debt-free and Proud!
You're doing well, Lynz. I decorated our house room by room and once I started decorating a room I didn't allow myself to smoke in it, so that I eventually decorated myself out of the house. Once winter set in and it was dark, wet and cold I went outside to smoke less and less and couldn't get my rolls-ups to stay alight anyway(!), which made giving up completely the next natural step. Good luck.

good point about the rollies Mrs M

Last night OH was outside shivering like a little pauper with his hood up.

I just curled up on the sofa and continued my snooze ;)

I have had one today, had one drag, heaved, had second drag heaved, held it in my hand for a while then stubbed it out.

the weird thing is I have this desire to go outside and do it all over again, minus the inhalation & heaving LOL

I wonder whether I should get one of those plastic inhalators?

Well done on the smoking(not smoking I mean). Will giving up give you a lot of extra cash? How far would it bring forward your DFD?

Sounds like youve been busy! As ever.

I havent smoked for a few days :j feeling rather chuffed :) Im not thinking of this as a long term thing, just I havent smoked for a few days, and I havent smoked today. I might smoke tomorrow, but probably not. As Im willpowering only, ( although have signed up for some sort of group session next week, god Im such a therapy*hore!) we'll see how that goes.

Still in the dilemma of what to do with the money. I am starting to think I havent got it anyway!! Weird, I now know exactly what people mean when they say it disappears. I have 121 in my account till the 20th take out 27 of that, and that will leave me 94. till the 20th  And Im supposed to be paying for us all to go out for dinner on Saturday for my parents birthday. We know it will cost 80 OH didnt get bloody paid today as the agency didnt recieve his timesheet, so we are thoroughly STUFFED for cash! EEEEEK

Ill isnt the word for me at the moment, I have to accept I cant do anything I think. Was meant to be taking the paint off the floor today, but I cant really bend so I went to bed for a few hours instead. Must have needed it :)

Parents arriving tomorrow, house a bin. So my friday night is cleaning! WOOP!

Just thought I would update my thread really

Paid off a further 50 of my overdraft today with a blend of quidco money and green metropolis money :D

Parents came this weekend, and they have helped us do LOADS of work on the flat. they also paid for everything in wickes, B&Q and ikea :) not a lot of course, as we have chosen the cheapest stuff going.

the lounge is now almost completed. In fact we just need to put a painting up, and do the curtains, but I need to buy a drill bit for that but aside from that we are done.

Spare bedroom again almost done, sold chest of drawers and when the ebayer comes to collect them we will be 51.00 up and have more room, will out the new pc table together tonight and then we will be all set later in the week

gardens looking good, we got loads of reduced plants yesterday at B&Q so I need to get the rest of them in the garden today

I reckon we could be in a position to get the EAs round to value a week earlier tha target. All good.

still got the same packet of 10 fags from last week, havent had a cigarette (although i have had the odd puff off Ohs) since last week :money:

Sold another book on GM over the weekend- life is good :)

    Hope everyone else is good?

Good progress, and good old bank of mum & dad!!!Inpsired by you I thought I'd have a quick look at Green Metropolis with the view to maybe listing some books tonight. looked stariaghtforward so thought I'd give it a go (well, if the books I bought from the charity shop are still under my desk 6 months later I'm probably not going to read them......). Wow, joined and listed books in under 10 mins! (D'you think they'll sell that quick.....)
