Hello from Hampshire, I have been up and doing the choirs.
Washing gone through the machine and hung up indoors to dry, just thinking it is a sunny day here so it could of gone on the line.
Coal fire cleaned out and ready to light late afternoon.
Sc on with a pork curry.
    Washed the dishes.
Now I am going to have a bath and get dressed. Then a few more chores.
I have a new book I want to look through as well. "New recipies for your slo-cooker by Annette Yates".
Just working week ends for a few weeks as a kind of bussmans holiday.
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
    Spring begins on 21st March.
  • Good Morning all,

Red sky this morning so no hope for a dry day.

Just the usually round of house work ,cleaning and cooking today.
Hope to make some thing out of chicken not curry which is what i always cook.
Got to be filling and not to "messed up" or ds wont eat it.
He the one that picked all the onion and peas out of cottage pie the other day.:p

For any one that has a child with Asperger's syndrome or any condition like that ,a useful thing i have found over the years is to keep a detailed note book of every incident of bullying ,aggression or misunderstanding that's gone on in school. Also have a folder which to keep every school letter and professional letter sent, every appointment made etc if you need to fight for Statementing which they don't like to do now this will help.

No one home today just waiting for Tesco then off down to Morrison's for fruit and veg.

For the poster that watched Saw3 i think you are very brave as i couldn't watch that give me nightmares:eek:
Did watch Mondays Fast Forward last night very good, watched Murderland as well enjoyable.
My hubby and i has no children in the house last night, bearing in mind that I'm 41 and he is 43 had the children youngish.
Sat like a pair of lemons ,he watched telly ,i did some knitting ,had a chat and that was it:confused:
    Oh dear,well we were happy.:D

  • Good morning from the land of [STRIKE]snot[/STRIKE] grot. DD1 and I are both feeling awful, she at the tail end of a throat infection and me with a cold. At least I hope its a cold and not a sinus infection... Seems a lot of us on here are under the weather, all the bugs seem to have woken up now its got colder and the leaves are falling off the trees. Perhaps the bugs live on the leaves? Anyway, I digress.

Nothing much OS here today unless you count leftover fishpie for lunch and DH cooking tea instead of having a takeaway! Mind you, I've planned tea, shopped for tea etc, but at least I don't have to actually cook today :)

Hoping to spend the afternoon snuggled up on the sofa. Being pg seems to make colds feel like man-flu, and we all know how almost fatal that is!:D

Have a good rest of the day folks, and thanks for the lovely welcome yesterday.

PS oh, I meant to ask of you more life-experienced ladies;) I want to get a small Christmas gift for 6 life experienced ladies in my church who look after our kids on a Monday morning so us mums can have a bible study in peace and get to be women rather than 'mum' for a while. It is such a blessing to us mums, and I want to thank the ladies who look after the children. However, I am stumped as to gifts as I don't really know them particularly well (i.e does one not eat chocolate as has diabetes, does one love/hate knitting/writing letters/bubble baths etc). What gift would you be delighted to receive? Thanks xxx

    Morning peeps

grey day here this morning, the sun was trying to get through the clouds earlier but didn`t suceed, shame really as the weather forecast was good and i was looking forward to it being nice.

No houndies to walk today as DH has taken them on a fishing trip so i went to Sainsburys instead and stocked up on diet food for moi :D this past week i`ve cheated a few times and as i want to lose another stone i need to get my act together. I kept a food diary for the first few weeks and i`ve been reading it this morning to see what i was eating the first few weeks so i made a list and armed with that i went to the shops for supplies. Bet the weight dosen`t drop of like before but fingers crossed, i just need to keep myself in a positive frame of mind about it.
I have managed to lose 2 stone so far :j

The oven is on in the kitchen for the first time in ages as i`m batch cooking the diet bits and pieces and then i can freeze some of it, thankfully it shouldn`t affect the freezer rundown as it will all be eaten over the next couple of weeks but the idea is that if i`m prepared then i`ve no excuse :D

I treated myself to a lovely green parka for walking the houndies over winter, it was reduced to £22 and is lovely and warm with a furry hood for those extra cold days and it was 2 sizes smaller than the last coat that i bought so i`m really chuffed.

Need to run round with the hoover now and then hop in the shower before cleaning the kitchen up and leaving for work so i need to get moving.

    Cranky & George ((((HUGS))))

Patentgirl - YAY! great news about OH`s job

    MSD - Where are ya?

Redruby - Hope DD gets well soon

    Have a good day everyone!

    SD
Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

Gift - I love to recieve bubble bath @ Christmas. My other idea's are a mug with hot chocolate sachet inside, diary/calender. A decoration for the christmas tree. One year I gave Christmas themed music boxes out found on QVC. Warm scalf and gloves. Tea and packet of biscuits.A broach. Cooking book. Last year I gave out felt stockings from the £ shop with something inside.
