quick up 10ft pools are £59.98 in B&Q however if argos do them cheaper take the catalogue into B&Q and they will nock 10% off the Argos price or any other store that beats them, providing they are withing 10 miles.0

If you have a hosepipe ban you can fill it.
If you are in an area with a drought order, you cannot.
Drought order is more severe than hosepine ban, and you are not allowed to fill up private pool.. Drought order are mainly aimed at businesses (watering of parks, car washes, etc), but private swimming pools and washing of houses (who does that anyway?) are one of the things that are prohibited. With hosepine ban you are allowed to fill your private pool (stupid, but true).
Please see rdwarr's post for areas effected. Hope this explains it.
On another note, if you were an investor I would invest in watering can companies.
I have just bought my second can, so I can keep the water going and fill one while I empty the other. :rotfl: 0 -
A 8 foot version with cover and pump/filter is in superdrug. Sign says £35, but goes through till as £28. Dont forget the 10% off voucher for join ing their club also....0

My pal bought one similar and when he emptied it it washed away his garden! Wife was not happy and he had to spend a lot of time in the garden centre to make up for it!0

Most of them come with an adapter to connect a hose pipe to the drain plug so you can direct the water to where you want it to drain to.0 -

Drought order doesnt include fish ponds, I think my goldfish may be transferred to the paddling pool !!
You are right though, You can fill a paddling/swimming pool with a hose, but you cant water your hanging basket with one!!
If a drought order is imposed, all commercial car washes will close too.0 -

I live in the southern water area and have just been on their website. It says I can top up my fish pond (threat to wildlife) but using water from a butt if poss and I can fill my pool. They suggest we use chemicals in it to avoid having to refill.
Will get the impending storms out the way and then fill it up.:T When its emptied it will go in the 3 water butts.0 -
